RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Lead Teacher in maintaining records on each child’s progress and development for the purpose of planning and compliance with Head Start Standards. Assist Lead Teacher with the full implementation of performance standards, policies and procedures, regulations and guidelines in the day-to-day operation of an early childhood development center (3 years-5 years of age). Assist Lead Teacher in planning and implementing the daily program of activities based on principles of child development and in accordance with the program’s curriculum. Assist Lead Teacher in reviewing the progress of each child and developing written plans to promote each child’s growth and development based on assessment of skills, interests, and needs. Maintain a well-organized, safe and attractive classroom environment conducive to the growth and development of children. Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and self-discipline. Assist teacher in the full implementation of IEP’s and inclusion of children with disabilities and special needs. Assist the teacher with planning and implementing education field trips. Assist the teacher in conducting home visits and staff/parent conferences. Participate in staff meetings, center activities, and staff development. The Pyramid Safe Haven is a 125-bed, low-barrier shelter operated by BronxWorks for chronically street-homeless single adult men. Located in the Melrose section of the Bronx, Pyramid follows a Housing First model and provides on-site services including case management, psychiatric and medical care, substance use counseling, meals, showers, and housing placement support. Referrals are made exclusively through NYC’s Street Homeless Outreach Teams. The program focuses on building trust and engagement while supporting clients in transitioning into stable long-term housing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the security of the premises and perform access control.Perform regular and frequent foot patrol of the entire facility.Enforce facility, BronxWorks, and Department of Homeless Services policies.Promptly advise appropriate supervisors of problems or concerns.Schedule daily assignments for subordinates, monitor their performance.Perform regular and frequent foot patrol of the entire facility.Assist Security Coordinator in Safety Monitor performance evaluations, progress reports, disciplinary memos, and shift assignments.Interact with all clients in a professional and productive manner.Supervise shift, overseeing and performing crisis intervention and addressing operational problems.Ensure that all incidents on shift are thoroughly investigated and properly documented in the appropriate categories. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide appropriate mental health support and advocacy to program participants to promote optimum mental and emotional health, with an emphasis on prevention, including crisis intervention to support the needs of the participantsConduct assessments for Train and Earn participants to assess fit for the program and identify those in need of counseling servicesMeet with program participants consistently to discuss barriers to program completion and as part of the post-exit outcome.Make any relevant referrals and coordination to community resources and services, as appropriately necessary and provide follow-upMaintain accurate and timely data entry into both funder-mandated databases and the company’s Salesforce databaseAttend team meetings, case conferences and supervisory sessions; including all funder meetingsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:
Required Licensure as an LMSW, LCSW or LMHC AND a minimum 3 years’ experience in Mental Health Counseling; or the ability to obtain license within six months of hireA minimum of two years' social services experienceStrong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessaryKnowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required.POSITION CRITERIA:

Maintaining a caseload of 14-18 individuals with chronic homelessness historyMonitor and document client progress towards Treatment plan goalsConduct regular case conferences with clients and service providers as neededConduct monthly home visits for caseload and field work with clients when neededAssistwith managing and directing allwalk-inclientsMaintain familiarity with agency and city resources available to clientsDocument progress notes for all encounters and services provided to clientsParticipate in regularmeetings, trainings and weekly supervisionwith supervisor and other support staffOpportunities for clinical work through intensive case management, crisiscounselingand substance abuse counselingOpportunities to provide group counselingOpportunities to earn LCSW and LMCH qualifying licensing hours Performadditionalduties as assignedProgram Specific Responsibilities
