    The Position:Our bank client is seeking to fill a Sr. Credit Analyst role in the Milwaukee, WI area. The position is responsible for the analysis of financial statements and other relevant factors that accurately assess the creditworthiness of new commercial credit requests and identify and mitigate key risks. This individual will present findings and recommendations in concise written reports that focus on cash flow and ability to repay and include evaluation of collateral and appropriate structure and terms. The Commercial Credit Analyst performs ongoing reviews of the financial condition of existing commercial borrowers. 
    The opportunity has a generous salary of up to $120K and a benefits package.  (This is not a remote position).

    Sr. Credit Analyst responsibilities include:Responsible for preparing the basis and comprehensive credit analyses on commercial loans that facilitate the credit approval process for use by loan officers or committees in the making of lending decisions regarding new, renewal, and extension loans.Thoroughly analyzes the most complex commercial credits. Analyzing factors such as income growth, margins, trends, quality of management, market shares, industry risks, and collateral assessment. Submits credit approval documents to appropriate personnel for decision-making.Analyze & create loan presentations for the commercial loan committee.Assist lenders in evaluating credit proposals and proper structure.Grade new and existing loans.Prepare financial projections and stress tests.Present financial information to the loan committee and vote on loan presentations.Prepare audits on commercial loans for documentation and credit exceptions, and provide recommendations.     The Position:

    Our bank client is seeking to fill a Sr. Commercial Underwriter role in the Waukesha, WI area. The position is responsible for underwriting new commercial loan requests, renewals, and annual reviews, which includes the preparation of the appropriate credit analysis and risk rating package. Reviews collateral documents to include: appraisals, title policies, environmental reports, surveys, leases, and construction contracts.

    Sr. Commercial Underwriter responsibilities include:Completes all sections of the appropriate credit analysis and risk rating package so that the loan request and structure, collateral analysis, borrower background, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, loan policy compliance, future financial statement requirements, strengths and weaknesses, and conditions to close are detailed in such a manner that a loan decision can be made.Meets with Commercial Loan Officers and/or borrowers to understand existing loans and new loan requests.May be asked to attend Commercial Loan Committee meetings to present credit analysis information and/or other information relative to this position.May be asked to contact businesses, accountants, attorneys, or other necessary professionals to clarify questions related to the preparation of the credit analysis package.Requests and analyzes all necessary collateral documents and takes a proactive approach in resolving any issues.Requests the necessary financial statements for the completion of annual reviews.Provides feedback to Commercial Loan Officers and supervisory staff regarding concerns with any aspects of loans underwritten. Recommends and models appropriate loan structures for new and existing loan relationships.Completes annual reviews as per the requirements of the business loan policy and the dates established in the credit analysis package. Analyzes and studies the trends to determine the appropriate risk rating. Makes recommendations on risk rating changes.When appropriate, attends business loan appointments with business loan officers to be part of the profiling process.Maintains annual review and risk rating reports.Assists in the annual review of the Commercial Lending Policy.Performs loan audit review work as assigned.Performs other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing written, in-depth, credit analysis for commercial loans.     Sr. Credit Analyst / Underwriter responsibilities include:Managing loan underwriting process by underwriting, processing, and coordinating the closing of business loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures, and federal & state regulations.Collecting and analyzing financial data, financial condition, and level of risk related to various types of borrowing entities and individuals including financial statement analysis, collateral evaluations, trend analysis ratio, and industry analysis.Performing commercial real estate loan stress tests.Preparing written summary of loan terms and conditions and a written narrative explaining the business background, outlining risk factors, and justifying assigned risk rating.Conducting a thorough review of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, tax returns, business plans, and projections presented by applicants to assess their ability to generate income sufficient to repay existing and proposed debt.Identifying risks and assisting in structuring loans to mitigate risks.Assigning appropriate risk ratings.Monitoring loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect on loan payments past due or matured loans.Preparing documentation needed to obtain approvals as appropriate.Interacting with account officers to negotiate loan terms and following up on information required to make decisions on the application.Complying with all bank policies, procedures, state and federal banking laws, and regulations.Serving on task forces and committees as assigned.
