    Job Title: Robotics Engineer Company: Bright IA – Intelligent Automation Location: Fort Worth, TX (on-site + regional client sites) Type: Full-time

    About Us Bright IA is a controls and robotics system integrator and machine builder serving the manufacturing industry across DFW and the Southwest U.S. We're a FANUC Authorized System Integrator, KUKA Partner, Lincoln Electric Authorized Robotic Integrator, and ABB integrator. We design and build robotic work cells for welding, palletizing, material handling, assembly, and inspection.

    The Role We're looking for a Robotics Engineer who lives and breathes robot integration — someone who can take a cell from layout and simulation through programming, commissioning, and customer handoff.

    Responsibilities

    Program, integrate, and commission FANUC robotic work cells (handling, welding, palletizing, inspection)Build and simulate cells in RoboGuide; design EOAT and tooling interfacesConfigure robot safety (DCS / Safe I/O) and integrate with Allen-Bradley PLC controlsInterface robots with vision systems, conveyors, and line equipmentCommission on-site, optimize cycle times, and support customer startupDocument programs, I/O, and safety configurations

    Required Qualifications

    3+ years of hands-on industrial robotics integration experienceStrong FANUC programming and commissioning (TP / KAREL, RoboGuide) — requiredWorking experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC integration — requiredUnderstanding of robot safety standards and DCS configurationComfortable on the plant floor and traveling to client sitesMust be a U.S. Citizen (required for ITAR-controlled and government-related work)

    Preferred

    KUKA, ABB, or collaborative robot (CRX) experienceRobotic welding (Lincoln Electric, Miller) or vision-guided roboticsEOAT/fixture design (SolidWorks), EtherCAT/EtherNet/IP, functional safety

We deliver engineered, turnkey automation — built on honesty, precision, and high performance.

    The Role We're looking for a hands-on Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission industrial control systems from concept through on-site startup. You'll own the controls side of projects across robotics work cells, motion systems, and full production lines.

    Responsibilities

    Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications (primarily Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Studio 5000 & FactoryTalk)Design UL 508A-style control panels and produce electrical schematicsConfigure motion control, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT)Integrate vision systems, safety circuits, and FANUC robotic cells into the broader control architectureCommission systems on-site, troubleshoot, and support customer startupProduce clean documentation and follow functional safety best practices

    Required Qualifications

    3+ years of hands-on industrial controls engineering experienceStrong Allen-Bradley / Rockwell programming (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk) — requiredWorking experience integrating FANUC robots — requiredSolid grasp of ladder logic and structured text (IEC 61131-3)Comfortable on the plant floor and traveling to client sitesMust be a U.S. Citizen (required for ITAR-controlled and government-related work)
