Growing CPA firm based in Northeast Houston is looking for an experienced accountant/bookkeeper. The firm focuses on services to businesses and their owners, both locally and overseas.
This job requires bookkeeping, preparation and compilation of financial statements for tax return preparation. The ideal candidate would have experience specifically with accounting for tax prep, or tax preparation experience. An extensive knowledge of technical accounting and control procedures is required. This person will prepare and assist with individual, business and other tax returns, payroll, research and other accounting related duties. Must be able to successfully manage multiple assignments, develop quality relationships, identify client needs and service opportunities, and propose solutions as issues arise.

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a public practiceFundamental knowledge of GAAPQuickBooks experience requiredDetail and deadline-orientedStrong analytical and problem solving skillsDeep knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe toolsExcellent professional writing and communication skillsStrong client and team building relationship skillsMulti-cultural sensitivityOption for Full or Part-Time.
Remote, work from home, but must live in the Houston, TX area.
Salary based on experience.
