Overview
We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to support advanced manufacturing automation systems. This role will be responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning control systems across production equipment and automated manufacturing lines.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with PLC programming, robotics integration, HMI development, and industrial networking, along with a proven ability to support manufacturing operations and lead technical projects.
This position works closely with maintenance teams, manufacturing engineers, and automation specialists to ensure reliable and efficient operation of production systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems for manufacturing equipment and automated production linesDevelop and modify PLC programs using platforms such as Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000 / RSLogix) and Siemens (TIA Portal)Design and configure HMI/SCADA systems for machine operation, diagnostics, and production monitoringIntegrate and troubleshoot robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, KUKA) and automated cellsConfigure and support motion control systems, including servo drives, VFDs, and motor controlsDevelop and maintain control system architecture, industrial networking, and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, DeviceNet, etc.)Interpret and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layoutsSupport system commissioning, debugging, and startup of automation equipmentConduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)Implement safety systems and ensure compliance with industry safety standardsLead or support continuous improvement and process optimization initiativesMentor junior engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff when needed
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Controls Engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens)Design and programmed PLC ladder logic from scratch, including I/O mapping, safety interlocks, timers/counters, and process sequencingExperience with HMI development (FactoryTalk View, Ignition, WinCC, or similar)Knowledge of servo systems, VFDs, and motion control technologiesStrong electrical skillsAbility to read and create electrical schematics and P&ID diagramsExperience with industrial automation systems and robotics integrationFamiliarity with industrial networking protocolsExperience using CAD tools for control system designStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training required.
• 0-2 years experience required.
The role of a Build Technician is to assist in building complex assemblies for low volume robotic
production. As a Build Technician you will work closely with the production team to construct intricate
components, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. This position requires the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and exceptional attention to detail. Strong
manual dexterity, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work
environment are also crucial for success in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the production team to assemble complex components for low volume robotic productionFollow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly of intricate assembliesConduct quality control checks to verify the accuracy and functionality of assembled componentsTroubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues or discrepancies that may arise during the production processMaintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policiesAdhere to deadlines and production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure on-time delivery
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years experience in assembling complex mechanical and electrical systems in robotics or a related field, preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracy in following assembly instructions and specificationsGeneral knowledge of interior and exterior vehicle assembly, service, and aftermarket modificationsAbility to view and interpret CAD images; basic PC skills requiredExperience working in a team environment is highly desiredExcellent oral and written communication skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalentTechnical diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Certification in robotics or electronics is a plus
