Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Packaging Line Operator supports the liquid packaging line by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions
• Receives batch tickets and prepares line for packaging customer orders.
• Observes operation and speed of packing machine and makes adjustments when necessary.
• Ensures that adequate packing supplies are stocked in or near the packing machine.
• Clears jams and performs basic troubleshooting.
• Communicates with forklift operator and others on the line to ensure order is packaged in accordance with specifications.
• Participates in housekeeping (e.g. sweep, mop, dust, put items away in proper areas) in the facility.
• Follows, without exception, all work instructions, SOP’s, and safety rules, including use of all proper PPE and other safety equipment. Use of a respirator is required for certain batches.
• Reports any needed repairs or special maintenance to your supervisor immediately.
• Wears clean uniform and be neat in appearance each day.
• Performs all other duties assigned.
