    Heavy Highway Construction Positions In Loudoun County, Va Branch Civil (BCI) is always searching for skilled, reliable, and experienced construction workers, operators, and professionals to join our well-established, growing company. We have a variety of opportunities in Loudoun County. These future employee-owners will contribute to the Branch's successful completion of projects in the heavy civil construction industry, including highways and site development. We're hiring laborers, flaggers, pipe layers, equipment operators, heavy equipment mechanics, equipment service techs, and other field operations roles! Duties/Responsibilities Follow project instructions from construction manager or supervisor Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks Follow all health and safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management. Safely operate a variety of tools including pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, pipe saws, grinders, jumping jack, plate compactor. Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly Comply with all BCI, OSHA, or other relevant safety rules and regulations Conduct all business with a professional and respectful attitude Qualifications Positive attitude and work ethic Able to work independently or as an active member of a team Basic computer skills with iPad and MS office experience CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements required within 60 days 2-3 years operator experience DOT experience preferred Competencies Dependability Adaptability/Flexibility Communicating Effectively Following Policies and Procedures Working Safely Travel Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands). The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week.     Loader Operator Branch Civil is searching for an experienced and safety-oriented Front-End Loader Operator to join our well-established, growing company. The Front-End Loader Operator operates straight or articulated rubber tired or crawler type machine equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket, scoop or other accessories used to grade, excavate, lift, transport or load materials. Duties/Responsibilities Operates loader by shifting gears, levers and controls to direct movement and force bucket into materials. May service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment. May complete minor repairs. Routine cleaning of equipment and work area. May perform other related duties. Qualifications Knowledge of construction techniques. 1 to 3 years of front-end loader operating experience. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations. DOT experience preferred, but not required.
