The Occupational Health & Safety Specialist (On-Site) is the on-site, single-point owner for employee health, injury triage, and safety programs across our manufacturing operations and locations. This role blends hands-on clinical care with end-to-end safety leadership - policy design, training, audits, incident investigation, Workers' Compensation, and regulatory compliance. You will partner with supervisors and external clinics to reduce risk, speed recovery and build a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities - Occupational Health & Safety Specialist (On-Site)
Leading resource on employee health and wellness matters, including reviewing physician reports, Workers’ Compensation claims, and medical restrictions. Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety. Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.Provide first aid and medical assistance to employees who become ill or injured at work.Document, investigate, and manage work-related injuries and illnesses, including Workers’ Compensation cases.Monitor compliance to policies and laws by visual verification of employee compliance and operation’s effectiveness. Maintain compliance with state and federal safety standards and other applicable regulations .Lead safety meetings, deliver training (first aid/CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, incident response, ergonomics), and track and report accident investigations.Conduct safety audits, job hazard analyses, and routine inspections.Champion and implement health promotion and wellness programs (e.g., ergonomics, flu shots, health fairs, blood drives, healthy lifestyle initiatives).Collaborate with local occupational clinics and healthcare providers to support employee recovery and case management.Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure regular inspections of safety equipment. In this dynamic position, you'll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the shipment of products to customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Responsibilities:
Compare information and counts and weigh/measure items for outgoing shipments. Verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.Responsible for small package shipments by examining outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.Review shipping report daily. Maintain an open line of communication with both Customer Support and Production Coordinators to ensure the timely receipt and shipment of customer orders.Provide scheduling for less than truckload and truckload shipments. Maintain a current database of freight carriers that includes contact names, primary service area, and scheduling pick-up and deliveries.Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of trucks.Coordinate shipment schedule with all internal sites and other companies (loading, inventory, and all relevant paperwork) and maintain an open line of communication with those companies and customer service.Plan best use of storage, shipping, and warehouse areas. Perform raw material physical inventories and finished goods inventory.Operate a forklift truck, hand truck, stencil, stamp, calculator, stretch wrapper, banding tool, and scale. Complete Bills of Lading for shipments, to include the creation and processing of Bradford Company packing slips.Understand and apply Company certified quality standards, as dictated by customer and market requirements (i.e. ISO, etc.).Requirements:
