PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Infant & Toddler Teacher will be responsible for supporting & leading the Infant & Toddler program. Plan both long- and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy. Responsible for implementing the policies & procedures of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley.KEY ROLES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Leadership
Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each childEncourage assistants to contribute to curriculum planningCoordinate field tripsPrepare monthly plan chartsComplete bi-annual assessment of children's developmentReport progress of children to parents in bi-annual reports and through parent-teacher conferences in conjunction with the ELC DirectorMaintain daily open communication with parentsKeep accident reportsMaintain anecdotal recordsMaintain confidentialityReport any suspect abuse to supervisorArrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophyMaintain a safe and healthy environmentInspect and replace damaged or lost materialsAttend in-service and staff meetingsSupervise assistants, aides and volunteers in the classroomKeep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and time sheets.Meet all applicable licensing regulationsEstablishes clearly specified goals and action plans, assigning accountability and follows-upCreates an exceptional parent/child experience using operational tools, excellent communication skills and personal leadershipResponds and follows up on all enrollment inquiriesMust have or obtain required administration units and be CPR/First Aid (Pediatric) Certified.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
May participate in special programs and/or events within the community, other non-profit agencies, or other BGCMV events including trainings.May be required to drive van for trips/activitiesMay need to answer phones, greet visitors at the door, and attend to guests as needed.Delegate duties appropriatelyAssume other duties as assigned.SKILLS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
CDA or Early Childhood Education AssociatesA minimum of three years work experience in planning and implementation programs preferred.Knowledge of Early Childcare Education.Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff.Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems. Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.Complete mandatory trainings including CPR and First Aid Certifications.Please evaluate and describe any physical skills, abilities or working conditions required to perform the essential duties of this position, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Fast paced and sometimes loud environments. Requires time spent outside for activities with children and includes standing for long periods of time. Lifting boxes for food pantry and supplies.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The YDP is responsible for: ensuring youth development principles are incorporated into programs and activities; providing guidance and discipline to ensure a safe and positive environment for youth; ensuring the incorporation of character development, age appropriate and gender-specific programs and activities; ensuring that cultural diversity programs are implemented. Assisting in the planning, implementation, and delivery of exciting and engaging educational activities and programs for youth ages 6-7, 8-9, 10-12, and 13-18. Delivering a broad range of tournaments, on the spot fun drop in games and activities in all Club Areas. All equipment and supplies are maintained and cared for on a daily basis. Assist Unit Director, Director of Program Development and Director of Operations at all times. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRMENTS:
Knowledge
Knowledge of youth development principles and practices, procedures and resources related to all program areas.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred or equivalent experiences or trainings with youth ages 6-18 years. Certified in CPR and first Aid
Experience
Minimum of one year of experience working with youth ages 6-18.
Need to be able to run more than one activity and control a large group of 25

Relationships
Internal:
Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff, including supervisor (professional and volunteer) and Club members to receive/provide information, discuss issues, and explain guidelines/give instructions/instruct and advise/counsel.
External:
Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in promoting and marketing the Club and resolving challenges when appropriate.

Experience in working with youth.
