You’ll make sure the building systems in our properties are functioning properly, respond to maintenance requests, and conduct routine maintenance on equipment to keep it running smoothly.     Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and building systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairsHVAC skills needed include minor troubleshooting, clearing condensate lines, replacing condensate pumps, replacing thermostats, and bleeding radiators and relighting boilersElectrical skills needed include replacing switches and outlets, installing light fixtures and ceiling fansPlumbing skills needed include drain clearing, replacing toilets and tank parts, repair or replace plumbing lines and fixtures (pipe segments, shut off valves, mixing valves, faucets) replacing water heaters and relighting pilotsAppliance skills needed include repair and replacing parts (handles, knobs, drawers) and installation of new appliancesMinor carpentry skills desired like adjusting or replacing door hinges, closers, and handles as well as installing bathroom accessories (towel bars & tp holders).Respond to tenant submitted maintenance requests as needed, communicate with tenants as necessary and report to management with any issues.QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED or equivalentAt least 2 years of maintenance experienceKnowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systemsUnderstanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniquesAvailable to be on call (1 week every 3-4 months and 1 holiday every 2 years) and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekendsExcellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail Read Less

Our focus on preservation, restoration and the adaptive reuse of historic buildings will provide a unique opportunity for newer carpenters to expand their skill-set and experienced carpenter to showcase their knowledge and abilities. We do everything from minor repairs during apartment flips to major renovations from shell to finish. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a variety of construction materials and phases of construction from framing to finish. Lead Carpenters should be comfortable managing 1-3 carpenters (depending on job size) of various skill levels, directing them on specific tasks and assist/coach them through any problems they encounter.  If you are an experienced Carpenter with a positive attitude, we want to hear from you.

    Required Skills: Framing, dry wall & spackling, trim & finish work, hardwood floors, hanging cabinets.

    Additional Skills: Tiling, roofing, light plumbing, light electrical, HVAC knowledge, appliance installation, locksmithing.
