    We keep growing! We are actively searching for a Trial Ready Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Columbia, SC. Our paralegals play a vital role on our case teams and are respected for their ideas and contributions.

    Responsibilities:

    Prepare, edit and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings)Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each caseAssist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions and issuing subpoenasAssist with document review and analysisManage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locatePrepare for trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, attending trial) Gather and analyze complex medical records needed to prepare medical chronologies

    Basic Qualifications:

    A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience 4+ years’ litigation defense experience requiredMust be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries     Ability to travel nationwide to attend trial

    Education and Experience:

    A Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience required2+ years’ litigation experience in a law firm setting preferredDefense consumer warranty and lemon law experience preferred
