    As an Senior Claims Advocate, you'll play a critical role in helping our underwriters and account executives move business efficiently from submission to binding while ensuring every client receives the high level of service that defines Borg.

    What You'll Do

    As part of our Claims team, you'll provide operational support throughout the commercial insurance placement process.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Serve as the primary claims advocate for personal and commercial insurance clients. Report new claims to insurance carriers. Guide clients through every stage of the claims process. Communicate proactively with clients regarding claim status and expectations. Work directly with carrier adjusters to facilitate timely claim resolution. Advocate for clients when service delays or coverage concerns arise. Review coverage questions and assist clients in understanding policy provisions. Coordinate with producers and account managers to ensure seamless client communication. Maintain complete documentation within Applied EPIC. Assist clients following catastrophic losses with compassion and professionalism. Identify trends and opportunities to improve the agency's claims service experience. Help educate clients on claim prevention and risk management.

    Qualifications

    Minimum 5+ years of property & casualty claims experience. Independent agency claims experience strongly preferred. Commercial insurance claims experience preferred. New York Property & Casualty License preferred. Thorough understanding of personal and commercial insurance coverages. Strong knowledge of claims handling practices. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience with Applied EPIC is a plus. Ability to build positive relationships with clients, adjusters, and carrier claim representatives.

    Location

    While in person / hybrid is strongly preferred Fully Remote may be considered for a stand out candidate.

    About the Role

    As a Senior Personal Lines Account Executive, you'll manage a portfolio of personal insurance clients while delivering the exceptional service and technical expertise that define Borg Insurance.

    You'll work closely with Producers, Claims Advocates, carrier partners, and our service team to develop customized insurance solutions while ensuring clients receive proactive advice throughout the life of their policies.

    Rather than simply processing transactions, you'll become a trusted resource clients rely upon to protect what matters most.

    What You'll DoManage and service a portfolio of personal insurance clients ranging from standard to high-net-worth householdsAdvise clients on appropriate insurance solutions including: Personal Auto,,Homeowners, Personal Umbrella, Valuable Articles. Inland Marine, Watercraft, Excess Liability, Other specialty personal insurance productsReview existing coverage and proactively identify opportunities to improve clients' protection.Prepare and present insurance proposals for standard, preferred, high-net-worth, and excess & surplus lines markets.Underwrite, quote, and bind new and renewal business using comparative rating platforms and carrier systems.Manage policy renewals, endorsements, remarketing, and account servicing.Coordinate with Producers, Claims Advocates, Accounting, and carrier partners to deliver an outstanding client experience.Utilize Applied EPIC and other technology platforms to maintain accurate documentation and workflow.Stay current on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and emerging personal insurance trends.Identify cross-selling opportunities while always acting in the client's best interest.

    What You'll Do

Prepare certificates of insurance, additional insured endorsements, waivers of subrogation, and other construction-related documentation. Assist with policy checking and quality control before delivery. Maintain complete and accurate documentation within Applied EPIC. Communicate professionally with clients, insurance carriers, wholesalers, attorneys, lenders, and project managers. Support Producers and Account Executives throughout the policy lifecycle. Assist with renewals and other department initiatives.
