Job Summary
This position is under the direction of the Director of Golf and Pro Shop Operations Manager. The Pro Shop Clerk conducts the daily operation of the Pro Shop such as: collect fees, clean the pro shop and restrooms if necessary, run and clean golf carts when necessary and any other duties required in efficiently running the pro shop operation. Using excellent customer service skills maintains effective working relationships with other employees, and the general public. Responsible for completing any daily reports that are required during assigned shift.

Answers 911 and 7 digit non-emergency phone lines in a timely and courteous fashionEnters information received into the Computer Aided Dispatch system in a timely, accurate, and complete fashionHandles radio communicationsDispatches appropriate personnel via radio, or other approved method, any and all calls and requests in a timely, accurate and courteous fashionResponsible to complete requests for information and contacts as requested by public safety agencies operating in the field, including but not limited to phone calls, and other information systems including LINK, NCIC, , E-Warrant System, and paging systemProvides accounting for activities of all public safety personnel and equipment as reported to PSCC via radio and telephone by entry into the CAD systemResponsible for carrying out all policies, general orders and directives for the Communications Section.Handles all communications assigned to their respective position and assists other telecommunicators as part of the team. Maintains situational awareness within the Center via passing of voice and written data to and from other operators within the Center. Must be able to multi-task while listening to both traffic on the station and dialog within the room.Operate LINK, NCIC, AVIS, DLIC, NLETS, Criminal History III and other computer system inquiries as requested by Law Enforcement member agencies as regulated by applicable Federal, State, and local rules, regulations, statues, ordinances, policies and operating procedures.Assists in development of all Standard Operating Procedures for dispatch.Trained and complies with all Federal, State, and PSCC rules, regulations, standard operating procedures, general orders, and directives for the Communication Section.Enters and process warrants and protections orders.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities

This is skilled work in a county jail. An employee in this class is responsible for the supervision of inmates. Work is performed under close supervision. Deputy Jailers routinely and regularly require face to face contact with inmates. Deputy Jailers must be able to be certified through the firearms training to carry a firearm during transportation of inmates. Deputy Jailers need to be able to respond to situations where there may be a high degree of danger or peril and respond with the appropriate level of force needed to maintain order in the jail. Deputy Jailer’s need to be aware that they can be exposed to infectious diseases and blood borne pathogens as a result of working with the inmate population. This position requires a high degree of physical conditioning in order to effectively control uncooperative inmates and deal with the physical and mental stress associated with the duties of this position.

Check previous shift logs and the population count at the beginning of a shift. Keep a running log of all shift activities; keep a telephone log; Process incoming inmates into the jail management system, fill out forms, place personal property and valuables in a locked place; allow prisoners to make a telephone call, place the inmate in a cell or the detoxification area, and file the inmates’ information in the proper place. Check cells regularly for condition of inmates and inmate activities as required by state standards. Release and return inmates who participate in a work release program; release and return inmates to a cell that work inside the jail. Knowledge of housekeeping procedures in order to supervise inmates in preparing and serving meals, doing laundry, cleaning the jail, and other duties as required.Ability to process outgoing inmates in the jail management system, which includes filling out forms, returning personal property, writing bonds, taking money, and writing receipts as required.Some skill to make routine computations and tabulations with speed and accuracy.Ability to transport prisoners to a hospital, dentist or court as required.Ability to perform guard duty at a hospital as required.Ability to serve and file warrants as required.Ability to monitor the two-way radio system used by other deputy jailers; monitor the visual and audio monitors throughout the jail.Ability to answer a telephone and answer questions posed by the public.Ability to work under general supervision.Supply inmates with personal items such as toilet paper, soap, uniforms, and clean linens and clothing.Collect and receive mail daily.Deliver canteen products to inmates on alternate days; supervise indoor and outdoor recreation and visitation at scheduled times.Inspects cells for contraband as required.Performs related duties as required.DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

This is a position within the two Golf Courses of Boone County, with a wide variety of duties pertaining to the concession and banquet areas, as well as the golf course beverage cart. Starting pay is $9.00 per hour-plus gratuities- with no fringe benefits. Due to sale of alcohol, applicants for this position must be 18 years of age. Applicant must also have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Job Duties:
Open or close concession counter, warm pre-cooked food items, perform beer and liquor inventory, stock food and beverage items, mop, sweep, and vacuum as needed, operate the beverage cart daily and beverage trailers for outings, serve on buffet line, as well as additional tasks as needed.
This position can require some lifting and the applicant must be able to stand for extended periods of time. The position will require some weekends and an occasional holidays.
