This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid opportunity for a polished legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing high-level administrative support to attorneys and clients.


    Responsibilities

    Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys within a litigation practice.Prepare, revise, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and court filings.Handle electronic filing and service of pleadings in Maryland state and federal courts.Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, meetings, and travel arrangements.Coordinate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and outside vendors.Prepare engagement letters, conflict checks, and new matter documentation.Assist with time entry, expense reports, billing, and client invoicing.Organize and maintain electronic client files and document management systems.Monitor litigation deadlines and ensure timely completion of assignments.Provide exceptional client service while supporting multiple attorneys in a collaborative environment.


    Qualifications

    Legal Administrative Assistant
    Salary: $60,000 – $75,000

     

    We are partnering with a law firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, technologically savvy, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced professional environment.

     

    Responsibilities

    Provide administrative and document support to attorneys and legal staff.Prepare, format, proofread, and revise legal documents and correspondence.Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and email communications.Handle electronic court filings and maintain filing deadlines.Scan, organize, and manage documents within the firm's paperless document management system.Convert, combine, and edit PDF documents using PDF software.Maintain accurate electronic files and records.Coordinate projects and assignments from inception through completion while ensuring accuracy and quality.Assist with other administrative and legal support duties as needed.

     

    Qualifications

    Strong work ethic, professionalism, and reliability.Excellent attendance and punctuality.Exceptional typing, proofreading, grammar, and written communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Demonstrated proficiency with technology and the ability to learn new software quickly.Experience working in a paperless office environment is preferred.

     

    Technical Skills

    Candidates should have experience with:

As a Patent Docket Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining all areas of the patent computerized docket system. You will also have daily contact with and receive guidance from the practice group lawyers and staff they support.


    The role is a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule; 3 days in the office and 2 days remote work. Flexibility to work overtime is preferred.


    Key responsibilities include:

    Coordinates all areas of the CPI database including:All information pertaining to each specific application and docket due dates, and remarks.Incoming domestic and foreign client related communications.Incoming Patent and Trademark Office communications filed in the Patent office.Processing delivery of incoming electronic communications pursuant to departmental procedures.Providing docket, status, and maintenance reports to patent personnel and lawyers.

     Experience and qualifications:

    High school diploma and a minimum of one (1) year of docketing experience or equivalent knowledge of patent processesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)Excellent written and oral communication skills and exceptional attention to detailTime-management and organizational skills to prioritize work and handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work well under pressure in a collaborative team environment
