    Job Summary:

    The Certified Medical Assistant is a key component of our team that works closely with the primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care to our community, ensuring services are provided within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines. The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for reviewing and updating health records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms for upcoming examinations.

    Essential Functions:

    Provides excellent customer service skills by greeting patients and the community in a respectful mannerPrepares & reviews patient charts for upcoming visits by verifying that all diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other medical records are correct and up to dateMeasures vital signs such as pulse rate, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and heightPerforms departmental-related clerical duties such as checking inventory, stock supplies, track referrals, and answer phones as neededMust possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptlyOther duties as assignedThis position goes to the Rookwood and Mason office locations as well as the Kenwood office.

    Education:

    High School Degree or GED

    Licensure/Certification:

    Active Medical Assisting certification from one of the following (required):

Provide authorized prescription and drug refill information for pharmacies as directed by provider. Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients. Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies. Perform routine laboratory tests and sample analyses. Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms. Successfully completes skills or competency checklists to be able to help physicians examine and treat patients, performing such tasks as handing them instruments, giving injections, removing sutures, changing dressings on wounds. Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to collaboratively work with patients, families, and teams within a high-volume environment.
