CNC Machinist – Vertical Milling (Cincinnati, OH)
Blue Chip Tool Co. is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Vertical Milling Department in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a steady, full-time, first-shift position in a family-owned, fully air-conditioned job shop. Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC vertical machining centers (3-axis and 4-axis, FANUC controls).
Machine precision parts to exact customer specifications in a low-volume, high-precision job shop setting.
Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and GD&T requirements.
Verify setups, dimensions, and tolerances using precision measurement tools.
Edit G & M code directly at the machine as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
✅ Qualifications
3–5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (not just operation).
Strong background in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
Ability to work independently on CNC vertical machining centers.
Proficiency with FANUC controls and 3-/4-axis milling.
Comfortable in a prototype and production job shop environment.
Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T, inspection methods, and use of precision tools.
Detail-oriented, safety-minded, and committed to producing quality parts.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $25 – $35/hour (based on experience).
