Automotive Sales Consultant Responsibilities:
● Serve as the dealership’s representative in all activities connected with the sales of new and used vehicles and related products and services
● Ensure an extraordinary client experience while building relationships and contributing to dealership sales targets
● Follow up with prospective customers and return calls, texts, and emails promptly
● Make outbound phone calls, texts, and follow up on internet leads to meet activity goals set by management
● Assist in ensuring manufacturer/supplier programs, warranties, and related requirements are followed and that required records are maintained
● Use and maintain accurate records, files, forms, and Dealer Management Systems
Automotive Sales Consultant Requirements:
● 3–5 years automotive sales experience
● Availability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays
● Valid driver’s license
● Clean driving record (or minimal violations) and ability to pass a background check

The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodies to manufacturer and dealership standards. Duties include assessing vehicle damage, performing body repairs, replacing parts, sanding, welding, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring high-quality workmanship throughout the repair process. Candidates should have strong technical knowledge, experience with collision repair equipment and tools, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Follows all Body Shop repair procedures.
· Repairs or replaces defective mechanical parts.
· Performs auto body and fender repairs.
· Removes damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolts or welds replacement parts in position.
· Performs welding, body alignment and oxidizing operations.
· Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces.
· Finishes or feather-edges metal work in 220-320 grit, blocks metal before sending piece to the paint shop.
· Operates all body shop equipment in a safe and careful manner.
· Uses proper tools, including the Eurovac system.
· Follows all departmental safety rules and regulations including but not limited to; always wearing goggles when operating power tools such as grinders, wearing goggles and gloves when in the mixing room or when mixing paint or other chemicals, and wearing hearing protection when necessary.
· Performs a comprehensive safety check of each vehicle after repairs are completed. This includes checking the lights, the horn and the turn signals. Also performs a test drive on the finished vehicle of at least 3 miles.
· Maintains work area in an orderly and clean manner.
· Responsible for keeping track of all parts, including those removed from vehicle as well as those ordered for the vehicle.
· Uses company materials and supplies economically and with discretion.
· Keeps hazardous waste in proper disposal area.
· Promotes good CSI at all times during all working activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Receives repair orders (RO's) from the dispatcher and takes vehicle to the work stall area.
· Completes a thorough inspection of vehicles, fills out the inspection sheet and takes the written estimate to the Service Advisor.
· Determines the cause of any malfunction.
· Uses function test or test drive as necessary.
· Provides a written estimate for labor and parts: and diagnostic estimate if necessary.
· Performs requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
· Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
· Orders and obtains parts according to dealership procedures.
· Documents work performed and applicable technical information.
· Advises the Service Advisor immediately of any of the following:
o addition needed work
o work outlined is not needed
o if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
· Cleans all parts that have been worked on and keeps vehicles clean.
· Saves and tags all parts replaced if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
· Road tests all repaired vehicles
· Confirms the vehicle is "fixed right the first time."
· Supervises the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
· Attends all manufacturer sponsored training classes.
· Stays up to date on factory technical bulletins.
· Keeps shop work areas neat and clean at all times.
· Maintains and accounts for all tools and equipment at all times.
· Returns tools to proper storage areas after repairs are completed.
· Understands and complies with all federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste.
· Operates all equipment in a safe manner, uses proper tools, and follows all department safety rules.
· May perform other duties as assigned.
