Job Summary
Join our team as a CDL Truck Driver! In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to transport trusses, sometimes oversized across Wyoming, Colorado, and sometimes Nebraska. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to timely deliveries will ensure our customers receive their goods efficiently and securely.
Duties
Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and other specialized trucks to transport freight over designated routesLoad cargo using forklifts. Unload by sliding them off the roller bed.Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems as well as written/oral directionsComply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and regulations while driving oversized on populated roads.Manage logistics cargo handling, including securing loads properly for safe transit and verifying shipment accuracyConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptlyCommunicate effectively with sales, office, and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues during transit
Experience
Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving in various environmentsFamiliarity with trucks, trailers, and forklift equipmentKnowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures including manual handling and forklift operation when necessaryUnderstanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goodsValid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements relevant to the equipment operatedAbility to handle manual transmission trucks confidently and safely while maintaining focus on road safety standards
