    Black Creek Integrated Systems is a leading national supplier of integrated electronic security systems for the correctional industry.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Provide technical leadership, setting direction for a team of developers.Mentor and coach developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.Translate business requirements into technical designs and delivery plans.Own architectural decisions and ensure system scalability, maintainability, and security.Champion coding standards, source control practices, automated testing, and release management.Collaborate with the Director of Software Engineering and business stakeholders to refine and deliver the product roadmap.Identify technical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure alignment with long-term product strategy.Develop a deep understanding of current products.Design, develop, and maintain complex software components as needed.Coordinate cross-team technical initiatives and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/Expectations

    Expertise in modern web development and Microsoft technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/React, ASP.NET, .NET languages, SQL Server).Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or Azure), source control (SVN/Git), and agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make sound architectural decisions.Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to developers, management, and non-technical stakeholders.Proven ability to mentor and guide a development team.

    Education and Experience

    Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

    Working Conditions

    Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk for extended periods (at least 50% of the time).Occasionally move about inside the office to access office equipment and other resources.Operate a computer and related software for prolonged periods, and use office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copier, and printer.Be able to engage in repetitive motions, such as typing and using a mouse.Communicate effectively, conveying information and ideas clearly so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these interactions.Observe details at close range (within a few feet), especially on computer screens and printouts.Work from home periodically, particularly for on-call customer support situations.

    Position Summary

    The Software Implementation Analyst II is responsible for leading software implementation projects, performing advanced system configuration, and resolving complex technical issues. This role is ideal for individuals with a software development background who enjoy working hands-on with system configuration, data migration, and integrations, and prefer implementation-focused work over full-time software development. This role serves as a technical resource for both customers and internal teams and plays a key role in ensuring successful deployment, integration, and long-term performance of Black Creek software solutions.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Lead software implementation projects including planning, configuration, deployment, and post-installation support.Analyze client system requirements and develop detailed implementation strategies and timelines.Configure, customize, and optimize Black Creek software solutions to meet client operational requirements.Perform advanced system configuration, database setup, and application customization.Ensure successful system integration with client environments, including configuring and validating integrations using APIs, data mapping, and system interfaces.Analyze and solve complex system, data, and integration challenges related to software functionality and performance.Serve as an escalation point for technical issues from Level I analysts.Coordinate with development teams to investigate software defects and implement solutions.Analyze system logs, data outputs, and system behavior to identify root causes of issues.Utilize tools to extract and analyze system data to support troubleshooting, upgrades, and installations.Assist with database configuration and management during system deployments, including working with structured data (e.g. SQL queries, JSON, XML) as needed.Support system upgrades, patches, and environment migrations.Provide advanced training to customers on system functionality, configuration, and best practices.Communicate technical findings and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.Assist in developing implementation standards, technical procedures, and best practices.Mentor and support Technical Implementation Analyst I staff.Collaborate with developers, project managers, and IT teams to improve implementation processes.Assist with continuous improvement of implementation documentation and deployment procedures.Participate in rotating on-call support responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.3–5+ years of experience in software implementation, systems integrations, or application development (or similar technical roles).Strong understanding of software systems, and system architecture.Experience configuring enterprise software systems and implementing solutions in client environments.Experience working with APIs, data integrations, or structured data (SQL, JSON, XML).Strong analytical and problem-soling skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.Experience working with databases, system configuration tools, or technical troubleshooting tools preferred.Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
