    Commercial Insurance Claims SpecialistThe Claims Specialist works independently the majority of the time, solves problems, follows through on all tasks, and reports claims to various carrier partners. They work closely with all BKCW employees, carrier partners and clients to support the Account Managers, Producers, Carrier Partners and Clients to ensure that all claims are submitted in a timely manner with proper details. They provide the highest quality of professional service to every customer. This includes answering questions and maintaining claims details. Hybrid work is available after completing the training period with management discretion and approval. The ideal candidate must be within driving distance to commute to work in one of our Central Texas office locations at a minimum of three days per week. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESWork with clients and internal team to ensure accurate, prompt and smooth flow of handling of all claims, ensuring that established processes are followed.Follow up with carrier claims departments within time period as set by company standards to identify claim number and adjuster assignment.Obtain & analyze loss runs, create loss ratio/analysis reports and provide loss summaries for our clients. Provide Producers, Account Managers and Director of Risk Management & Loss Control with updates verbally or written via email upon request.Ensure claim supporting documents are forwarded to the assigned adjuster and documented properly in agency management system per company procedures.Provides exceptional customer service on a variety of incoming/outgoing inquiries via telephone and email correspondence by utilizing verbal and written communication skills to build relationships and establish trust with clients and internal staff.Works with Clients, Producers, Account Managers, Director of Risk Management & Loss Control, Adjusters and other internal departments.Ability to work independently, problem solve & handle claims calls/emails. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.Provides Director of Risk Management & Loss Control with ModMaster software results to illustrate the impact of specific claims on the experience modification factor and to project future experience modification factors.Assist Director of Risk Management & Loss Control with various requests to provide top level claims service to clients.Provide guidance to clients as to claim process along with direction regarding likely outcome and timelines.Answer basic coverage questions.Attend staff meetings, educational workshops, carrier functions and social functions as needed.Identify opportunities for process improvement & improved efficiencies in the department.Provide back-up phone support to the BKCW Team and provide front desk coverage as needed. Attend staff meetings as needed.Assist with other projects as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation:   High school diploma/GEDBachelor’s Degree preferred Required Experience:       Articulate and well-accustomed to a client-facing role via telephone, email. and in-personPersonal Computer/Microsoft Office products knowledgeTeam members are expected to embody our Core Values of Accountability, Innovation, Integrity, Positivity and Responsiveness in all aspects of their work and relationships.Ability to travel and attend meetings as required.Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with a team or independently to accomplish goalsStrong organization and time management skills, critical thinking, and exceptional communication skills, both over the phone and by email, with the ability to change priorities as needed.  Additional Experience:Experience in casualty claims or agency, commercial claims adjusting, and/or corporate risk management in the area of multi-line property & casualty claims a plus. Licensure:   Current or ability to obtain Texas Property & Casualty License and AIC designation. Additional Skills/Abilities:Ability to travel and attend meetings as required.Proficiency in the evaluation, interpretation and communication to the client of P&C insurance claims and coverages required.Ability to negotiate with all parties involved in the claim management process.Demonstrate ability to instill confidence and comfort in clients.
