For more information about AbbVie, please visit www.abbvie.com. Job Description Candidates will be hired at either Grade 18 or Grade 19, with the level commensurate with experience. This is a field?based position, and candidates should reside within a reasonable distance of Boston, MA. Responsibilities Work with Federal Account Executive teams to manage and identify key target account opportunities within the VA. Develop product strategies to fully and consistently penetrate these accounts. Provide strategic and tactical direction regarding target accounts to regional and district teams within AbbVies Psychiatry Retail Franchise. Advise sales and marketing management with appropriate direction on challenges and opportunities within key target accounts. Analyze and support channel?specific training needs within the region. Develop an annual business plan with goals and objectives to increase sales volume and market share in target accounts across all FDA?approved indications. Routinely identify local opportunities and threats and develop or modify business plans accordingly. Anticipate change and take proactive measures to address. Understand and effectively utilize a broad range of financial and quantitative data and analyses. Assess business impact of target account opportunities to include overall profitability and impact on sales. Partner with Field Sales Managers to evaluate and penetrate non?retail account drivers within MSAs. Call points include: the VA, in?patient community mental health centers, hospitals. Drive target account volume and share growth through detailed analysis, providing recommendations and driving execution and pull?through of district managers and representatives. Travel: driving a personal auto, a company vehicle, or powered material?handling equipment as necessary. Qualifications Bachelors degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business?related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required. Minimum 2 years sales or account management experience. 3+ years of Health Science Field or Sales experience with a minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical sales. If no degree, 8+ years of Health Science Sales experience with a minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical sales. Demonstrated ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas. Excellent organizational/project management and demonstrated leadership skills. Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments. Must satisfy all applicable Health Care Industry Representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements; in good standing or eligible to obtain these credentials. Background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses as required.
