    Job Description:

    Budget Title: Instructional Support Associate (SL-2)
    Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 (commensurate with experience)
    Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for visual media? Binghamton University's Office of Media and Public Relations is looking for a forward-thinking Multimedia Producer to bring the University's stories to life through compelling video, photography, and multimedia projects.
    This role blends creative vision and technical skill to elevate Binghamton's brand and showcase the extraordinary students, faculty, staff, and initiatives that define a premier public university. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated media professional who can create content from concept to final product, delivering impactful videos that resonate with internal and external audiences.
    The Multimedia Producer reports to the Senior Director of Media and Public Relations and works closely with colleagues in University Communications and content creators across the campus community.
    Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with media relations staff to establish and maintain a cohesive visual identity across all multimedia content.Produce engaging video and multimedia projects that support strategic goals in areas such as enrollment, research, advancement, and reputation.Scout and develop story ideas, identify emerging trends, and work collaboratively with fellow video producers and student creators.Edit video content using industry-standard tools, ensuring quality and consistency across platforms.Produce short-form video content optimized for social platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts to boost visibility and audience engagement.Create compelling video ads tailored for digital marketing campaigns, supporting key initiatives such as student recruitment and brand awareness.Partner with the digital advertising team to deliver platform-specific creative assets that align with targeting and messaging strategies.Stay current with social media trends and best practices to ensure Binghamton's visual storytelling remains fresh, relevant, and effective.

    Salary: Open Rank (Sr Assistant or Associate Librarian) with an anticipated salary range of $66,340 - $74,900 which is inclusive of an administrative stipend, which is renewable at established intervals.

    About the Binghamton University Libraries:

    The Binghamton University Libraries provides research collections in electronic (over 2 million and growing) and print (1.7 million items) formats with an extensive array of databases and e-packages (over 400), archival and distinctive printed materials in Special Collections as well as services with a variety of student-centered study spaces. With three public locations (Glenn G. Bartle Library, Science Library and the University Downtown Center Library) and an off-site Collections Management Facility, our aim is to provide access to primary research materials and resources befitting an R1 research institution.

    Binghamton University Libraries is seeking a strategic and innovative leader for the position of Assistant Director of Storage and Delivery. This is a newly created position that will oversee key services such as interlibrary loan, document delivery, and the management of a newly-renovated high-density storage facility that houses more than 650,000 critical research materials. The role plays a central part in supporting the Binghamton University community and beyond by enhancing access to essential resources and advancing the future of library services.

    The Assistant Director will lead and manage a team responsible for resource sharing, physical collections maintenance, and the execution of collections relocation projects. This role includes overseeing courier services to ensure the efficient delivery of materials across campus locations and beyond. The Assistant Director will define unit goals, adapt staffing plans, and adjust workflows to meet evolving needs and trends in library and information services, while supervising staff and managing daily operations. Additionally, the position involves leading the development and implementation of policies related to resource sharing, copyright, and fair use, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Assistant Director will collaborate closely with internal teams such as Collections Strategies and Access Services, as well as external resource-sharing partners globally, to foster innovation, improve services, and drive the future of physical collections management at Binghamton University.

    The position reports to the Director of Collections Services.Librarianship:Leadership and StrategyStrategic vision: Work with the Director of Collections Services on strategic planning and unit goal setting; define priorities for unit projects, activities, and innovations.Efficiency: Review workflow and staffing with the goal of improving efficiency; document policies, procedures, and decisions; assist in fulfillment, lending, and other requests as needed.Service excellence: Prioritize customer service, user experience, accessibility, and ease of access; assess the effectiveness and impact of interlibrary loan, document delivery, and delivery of physical materials on both the university and resource sharing communities.Compliance: Work with the Director of Collections Services, the Sr. Assistant Dean for Collections and Technology and Dean of Libraries to interpret and respond to evolving copyright issues; stay abreast of important court cases and policies effecting library copyright compliance and strategies.     Requirements:

    Minimum RequirementsMaster's degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited institution or international equivalent.Minimum three years of experience using interlibrary loan or document delivery systems.Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects, assess impacts, and resolve complex challenges.Demonstrated success leading teams and implementing innovative changes.Demonstrated knowledge of emerging trends in interlibrary loan, on-demand acquisitions, controlled digital lending, and U.S. copyright law related to libraries.Excellent written and oral communication skills.     Job Description:

    Budget Title: Director of Facilities Planning ( Management Confidential)

    Salary: $175,000 - $195,000

    Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Facilities Management, the Senior Director is responsible for overseeing and managing design and construction management services for capital projects and large critical maintenance projects on the Binghamton University main campus in Vestal and adjacent Innovative Technologies Complex (ITC), the Health Sciences campus in Johnson City (Decker School of Nursing and the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences), and University Downtown Center in Binghamton. Additionally, the position oversees the design and construction of a new battery prototyping facility being built in Johnson City.

    The Senior Director is responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise in all aspects of planning, design and construction of academic, residential, athletic, and research facilities.

    The Senior Director is responsible for ensuring the university's compliance with regulations and other requirements of the State University of New York (SUNY), the State University Construction Fund (SUCF), and other external authorities having jurisdiction related to planning, design and construction matters.

    The Senior Director serves on a number of campus standing and ad-hoc committees and may represent Binghamton University on external committees or boards as required.

    The Senior Director's direct reports will include a Director of Design, a Director of Planning & Construction Management, and a Staff Assistant. The Design staff includes six licensed architects, ten engineers, and four related support staff. Currently, the Planning and Construction Management department includes twelve staff, including the Director.

    Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesManaging the daily activities of the Office of Planning, Design and Construction Management.Work in partnership with the State University Construction Fund (SUCF), Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), outside architectural/engineering firms, consultants, and contractors to ensure that all capital projects are completed on time and within budget.Working collaboratively with the campus community on all aspects of planning, design and construction.Ensure that projects comply with NYS standards and SUNY/SUCF requirements.Participate in the capital improvement planning process.Manage the updating of the Campus Master PlanEnforce all federal, state and campus safety rules and regulations for all personnel on job sites.Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local codes and requirements.Ensure construction procurement and execution complies with all applicable MWBE policies and procedures.Manage grant funded projects in accordance with SUNY, Research Foundation, and other agency rules and regulations.
