Whether it's leading sports tournaments, hosting dance parties, setting up slip n' slides, or facilitating arts and crafts sessions, you'll be at the heart of the excitement!
    Responsibilities:- Lead various recreational activities and events for campers, including sports tournaments, dance parties, slip n' slides, arts and crafts, and s'mores roasting.- Act as both character and or handler for our main costumed characters.- Assist in other campground duties as needed, stepping into different roles to ensure the smooth operation of the camp.- Create WOW moments and lasting memories for our guests through exceptional service and enthusiasm.- Maintain an energetic and friendly demeanor while interacting with campers of all ages.- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers during recreational activities.- Perform general cleaning duties and handle cleaning chemicals and supplies as required.- Be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.- Adhere to all campground policies and procedures.
    Qualifications:- Must be at least 16 years of age.- Possess a valid NYS work permit/certificate(s) if under 18 years old.- Comfortable working with children and willing to handle messy activities.- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs and perform tasks indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.- Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week, including busy camping days such as Thursdays-Sundays and holidays like Memorial and Independence Days.

    Job Description
     
    REASON WHY POSITION EXISTS 
    The Recreation and Activities Team is responsible for promoting an engaging, interactive, and
    emotional-provoking experience. This is accomplished by leading and participating in activity programs,
    supervising and assisting guests with crafts and games, and ensuring that the recreational facilities and
    equipment are clean and safe for use. This is a seasonal full or part-time position and reports to the GM. 

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
     General Duties
    o Prepare and lead guest activities and arts crafts.
    o Perform all branded experiences consistently
    o Provide and maintain a fun, engaging environment with all scheduled activities at all
    times and promote hands-on learning through daily activities
    o Consistently interact with guests in an upbeat, fun, and energetic manner at all times.
    When not on break, act as though you are interacting with guests at all times.
    o Customer Service and Customer Experience are the two of the most import job duties
    for activities staff 
    o Maintain a safe, clean and professional environment during the organization,
    coordination, and execution of branded experiences
    o Complete cash, credit, and gift card transactions using the point of sale system
    accurately while following proper cash-handling procedures
    o Follow all company, and safety/security policies and procedures
     Character Duties
    o Character Escorts are the voice of the character and will be expected to converse
    casually and appropriately with guests
    o Promote a fun, energized, and comfortable atmosphere for guests
    o Provide entertainment, amusement, and interactive activities for guests by taking every
    opportunity to interact with guest throughout the park and exceed guest service
    expectations
    o Accurately and consistently portray the predetermined style, characteristics, and
    mannerisms of each role
    o Perform character appearance duties in a manner deemed acceptable according to
    brand standards; learn and perform signature character moves and non-verbal
    communication strategies. Responsible for character costume operations, including
    care, cleaning, maintenance, etc.
    o Commit entirely to the assigned scheduled opportunities for specific characters to
    appear at on-site and off-site events
    o Never be seen in less than full costume
     Other Essential Duties
    o Decorate the park to the theme of the week/weekend 
    o Keep recreation facilities neat, clean, and in working order (including restroom area)
    o Assist supervisor with the inventory of event activity materials
    o May be required to capture photos of activities and events
    o Participate in other projects and activities as assigned

     

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
     Prior experience working with recreational activities preferred 
     Customer service or hospitality experience preferred 
     QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 
     General 
    o Basic computer skills 
    o Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
    o Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
    o Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

    Lifeguard Rangers are here to bring the FUN! While fun is our name, safety is our game! As a lifeguard at Binghamton Jellystone Park, you will be responsible for lifesaving and first-responder duties at our Splashtown Floating Obstacle Course on our central lake. Along with typical lifeguarding duties you are also responsible for proper Splashtown safety training and enforcement on the equipment, cleaning of water equipment, upkeep of the beach and dock areas, and making sure all water fun equipment is picked up and put away. You may be required to help with the installation and de-installation of the course with our Aquatics Supervisor before and/or after the camping season. At Binghamton Jellystone Park we are a team and help in all other aspects of camp- you may step into another role when needed. As a Ranger, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest sites and common areas, ensuring a pleasant stay for our guests.

    Position Overview:

    The Ranger is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetics of the campground, assisting with guest arrivals, and occasional park maintenance tasks. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, this position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    - Perform timely trash pick-up around the park to maintain cleanliness.- Prepare guest sites and golf carts for arrivals, including cleaning, wiping down, and refueling.- Clean decks, patios, and fire rings to ensure guest satisfaction.- Escort guests to their sites upon arrival and assist with food and firewood deliveries on weekends.- Assist in maintaining the park's landscaping, including watering plants, trimming trees, and lawn care.- Clean bathhouses throughout the resort and maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
    - Assist maintenance in use of the honey-dipper to pump out RV tanks- Participate in other assigned projects and activities as needed.- Clean picnic tables and fire rings between use at lodging sites and RV/tent sites.- Ensure all trash is picked up at each site to maintain a clean environment.- Assist guest relations by delivering firewood and food to guests as needed.- Ensure picnic tables are located correctly on each site to enhance guest experience.- Maintain the overall aesthetics of the park by reporting maintenance issues in public areas.- Respond promptly to maintenance requests on weekends when the Maintenance Staff is off duty.

    Education/Training/Experience:

    - Customer service experience preferred.
