Responsibilities
Primary job is to fit and install parts for various technologies, weld and solder pieces together, or attach them with bolts and nuts
Fabricators and Assemblers are required to have a range of skills to perform their roles across various industries. Focusing on maintaining quality and craftsmanship in the products they fabricate.
Reading blueprints and schematics, aligning components and using hand tools or machines to complete the assembly process
Fabricators cut, shape, and join heavy sheet metal.
Perform welding operations using several welding processes, including:
GMAW
MCAW
FCAW
CUTTING AND JOINGING
Grinding
Torching
Operate Basic Hand Tools and Powered Hand Tools. i.e., Drills, Disc Grinders, etc.
Operate equipment as described in company procedures.
Metal Cutting Saws
Cutting Torches
Measuring Tools
Drills
Material Handling Equipment
Grinders
Align components and connect them with bolts and screws
Work with plasma machines to produce and assemble components
Find faulty components in defective products to fix them
Perform work safely and follow established work procedures
Performs housekeeping duties
To Not abuse equipment and report equipment that requires servicing or repair
Performs General Tasks as assigned by Shop Foreman
Accurately completes Production Sheet
Support the Quality and Safety Programs
Minimum Job Requirements
Steel Toed Boots
Suitable Welders attire for the shop environment and warm clothes for the winter.
Basic Hand Tools (List of required Tools can be provided).
Availability to work shift work and/ or overnight
Shall be punctual and possess a strong work ethic.
Qualifications (education, training, experience)
Technical Training in the Welding Trade
Associated or higher degree in engineering technology, engineering, 3 years work experience
High School diploma plus two or more years engineering/technical school courses, or 3 years work experience
High school diploma plus one-year engineering/technical school courses or one or more years of vocational education and training in a welding curriculum
High school diploma or approved high school equivalency diploma at least 8th grade
Ability to Interpret Shop Drawings
Basic knowledge of Structural Steel shapes, sizes, and grades
Basic Reading and Writing Skills
Knowledge and Respect of Shop Safety
Ability to Communicate Orally
Ability to work in cold environments
Able to perform physically demanding work
Responsibilities

Keep up to date on industry trends and developments.
