Wine Manager Summary
As our Wine Manager you’ll be responsible for establishing and maintaining guest services, overseeing and being accountable for the operation of the Wine Department. This also includes ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, and expense control.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Ensure each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, presentations; signing, and assortment in the Wine Department; coordinating with Corporate Merchandising & Marketing Wine Department to do so.Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.Train and develop Wine Sales Associates.Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Must be 21 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredTwo years of management experience preferredStrong Knowledge of wine necessaryThree years or more experience in retail or on-premise settingCSW Certification an advantageCSW Certification required to maintain positionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProvide an extremely high level of customer serviceMS Office knowledge requiredAbility to work in a fast pace settingOrganized with a great attention to detailSelf-MotivatedDemonstrated reliability and punctualityPhysical Requirements:
Regularly required to talk or hearFrequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climbRegularly lift and or move objects up to 50 poundsVision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusTravel:
