    POSITION TITLE: Construction Manager

    COMPENSATION: Competitive salary DOE + bonus

    LOCATION: Houston, Texas

    SUMMARY: The Construction Manager reports to the Project Director and oversees project management, estimate evaluation, contract review, and construction scheduling for projects across the Houston/Gulf Coast and other U.S. regions.

    DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Provide overall leadership and management for capital projects ranging from $750K to $24MM, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget objectives
    Lead pre-construction planning, including bid strategy, estimate review, contract evaluation, and clarification of project requirements
    Develop and execute comprehensive Project Management Plans, establishing project goals, risk management strategies, staffing plans and key milestones
    Oversee design development, procurement, construction execution, and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
    Direct and coordinate internal teams and external contractors, maintaining accountability across all project stakeholders
    Maintain financial oversight through cost tracking, forecasting, and evaluation of budget changes using earned value principles
    Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, architects, and key partners, facilitating communication and resolving issues
    Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations across all phases of work
    Review and approve change orders, RFIs, and invoices, ensuring accurate documentation and timely execution
    Perform additional leadership responsibilities as directed by the Project Director

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
    10+ years construction management experience working with refineries and petrochemical plants
    Strong understanding of capital projects, fabrication services, specialty welding, mechanical rope access, turnarounds or shutdowns
    Experience managing sub-contractors
    Ability to manage up to $50M projects
    Team builder, led by example, willing to roll sleeves up

    Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelors degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
    12+ years of progressive leadership in maintenance and turnaround execution with in the refining, petrochemical, or industrial services sectors.
    Demonstrated experience managing large capital projects ($25-$50M+), preferably within a contractor or EPC environment.
    Strong knowledge of Gulf Coast refinery and petrochemical clients.
    Proven P&L and operational management experience.
    Exceptional leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
    Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
    10 years direct field industry experience
    Strong knowledge of soft crafts such as scaffolding, insulation, and painting (preferred) or equivalent plant operations/maintenance experience
    Strong computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook and access
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
    History of providing leadership and vision in major projects or initiatives
    Excels at operating in a fast pace and diverse environment
    Ability to look at situations from several points of view (i.e. get the bigger picture)
    Travel required to work sites
