Bhate is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to support environmental restoration projects in South Carolina. Candidates will be responsible for supporting field site assessments, operations and maintenance of treatment systems, management of investigation derived waste, monitoring well development, sampling of groundwater, soil, sediment, and surface water. Candidate will be responsible for working with multiple clients and contractors in both the commercial and government sectors. Travel may be required up to 25%. The successful candidate will be required to collect field samples, prepare data quality reports, and communicate with field personnel to achieve field mobilization goals.

The field CQCM is responsible for the implementation, oversight and management of all aspects of the Quality Control program, for the management and coordination of the three phases of control, all documentation performed by testing personnel and any other inspection personnel required by contract. The CQCM role includes direct oversight and review of the project documentation and physical inspection phase of the workflow process and working with other in-house personnel to include Project Managers, Superintendents, etc., and external personnel to produce and document a quality product.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate, document, and track preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and provide written reports as described in project specific contract documents.Provide daily QC reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project’s established standard. Create, update and maintain other quality control reports as required.Verify and documents that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project.Conduct pre-construction meetings with new and existing subcontractors and the superintendent at least two days prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality.Track construction deficiencies and ensure timely implementation of, and verify, all approved corrective actions.Coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems, review results, and submit.Maintain the project as-built drawings on a daily basis.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:
Candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years of construction related management experience, preferably with DoD projects, including three (3) years of field experience with repairs to DoD POL facilities or equivalent commercial fueling systems (AFCEC, NAVFAC and USACE preferred).At least 3 years of the above must have been in the capacity of QC Manager.Degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred but not required.Familiarity with EM-385 and OSHA compliant programs. Site Health and Safety Officer Certification is a plus. Although the position is located in Birmingham, Alabama, frequent travel to various projects, including international travel at times will be required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Quality Control management including submittal management and coordinating with the Quality Control Manager confirming proper installation of required materials.Coordination with the Superintendent to facilitate the overall project requirements and schedule.Schedule management utilizing Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 Scheduling, as well as schedule development and project scheduling updates.Coordination and communication with senior level representatives including the client (Government).Manage the buy-out process to include and understand scope reviews, contract terms with subcontractors and vendors, preparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, and procurement of all executed agreements.Manage Job Hazard Analysis from Subcontractors, and other required contract documents, which includes an understanding of proper insurance.Manage the financial and contractual aspects of the projects assigned to ensure all commitments are made to the client, and financial expectations of the project are achieved.Manage all changes including distribution of documents, estimating to ensure accurate sub and vendor pricing, and presentation of pricing to the client.Actively and regularly plan and look for possible conflicts or problems on a job, and take measures to avoid them. When problems do arise, work with the project team to produce solutions to resolve the problem and execute the solution.Lead regularly scheduled project meetings with the client and design team to report progress of the project. Communicate key issues of the project and hold the team accountable for any information required by the client.Estimating responsibilities may require bid solicitation, proposal writing, trade scoping, quantity takeoff, etc.Effective communication with the client, project team members, teaming partners, subcontractors, etc. will be required.Knowledge in estimating software and project management software such as Timberline and Prolog is preferred.Job Requirements:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in construction management, Building Science, or similar field preferred.Minimum of ten (10) years construction management, general contracting, or similar experience required. Bhate is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to support environmental restoration projects in Florida. Candidates will be responsible for supporting field site assessments, operations and maintenance of treatment systems, management of investigation derived waste, monitoring well development, sampling of groundwater, soil, sediment, and surface water. Candidate will be responsible for working with multiple clients and contractors in both the commercial and government sectors. Travel may be required up to 25%. The successful candidate will be required to collect field samples, prepare data quality reports, and communicate with field personnel to achieve field mobilization goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
A key member of Bhate’s Federal Estimation team. Overseeing all elements of the estimation process including personnel management, creating budgets and estimates, and communicating directly with the construction team and principal staff daily to furnish competitive bids to our clients which include; USACE, AFCEC, NAVFAC and Department of State.Construction management responsibilities may require supporting project managers and quality control personnel with management of construction projects. This may include submittal management, quality control, project financial management, schedule management, preparation, submitting and obtaining approval for contract change requests, assisting in project meetings, etc.Review all task order plans, specifications and drawings to assess and organize scope and submit final pricingIdentify magnitude and risk of projects during proposal and post awardCommunicate with DOR as required from bid to substantial completionWork with Construction Coordinator/Procurement Manager to solicit subcontractors/vendors and prepare their bids for submission, preparing and maintaining accurate PO’s and subcontracts post awardCoordinate with Bhate’s marketing team to prepare technical proposals, and with field staff to identify operational problems and their solutionsKnowledge in estimating software such as Timberline and ISQFT Takeoff is required, in addition to working knowledge of RS Means cost estimation.The position will be based in Birmingham, AL but domestic and international travel will be required as needed for site visits and client meetingsKnowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera / Microsoft Project is a plusMinimum Requirements:
