    Job DescriptionJob Description

    BGE, Inc., is open to Civil Engineering Project Manager/Sr Project Manager level candidates for the Site Development department in one of our South Austin, TX office (Directors Blvd).

    Responsibilities:

    • Direct responsibility for projects and leading a team in the site development of plans and specifications for commercial/retail, and industrial. In addition, some land development in multi-family and other types of projects that include paving, grading, drainage, water lines, sanitary sewers and other miscellaneous items.
    • Serve as the point of contact for clients.
    • Responsible for project management reporting and client invoicing.
    • Will supervise the work of Engineers and CAD Technicians and manage resources for projects.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
    • Registered P.E. in Texas.
    • 10 years of experience in civil engineering for commercial, retail, industrial, or multi-family site development that includes paving, grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, etc.
    • 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
    • Solid working knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, or other modeling software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience working on projects for cities/municipalities or counties is preferred.
    • Any MUD District experience is preferred.

    • Review bid item remaining quantities & identify any potential overrun/underrun
    • Review and recommend final response to all RFI’s

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
    • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
    • 5-10 years of experience in roadway / highway construction management engineering
    • Knowledge of TxDOT specs and ability to use Site Manager
