Kx Advisors provides strategic support to executives at leading Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Health IT companies. Our work leverages primary research, data analysis, and knowledge/learnings from previous engagements to support critical commercial decisions for Global 500 corporations in the healthcare sector through portfolio strategy, market and opportunity assessment, commercial due diligence, go to market strategies, competitive strategy, and product commercialization. 

    This position is hybrid in either our Washington, D.C. office, or our Boston office.

    The primary role of an Associate Consultant is to support engagements by driving the research and fact-gathering process, analyzing, and synthesizing findings, and developing deliverables for clients.     Required Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement at a four-year college or university. They will have 0-2 years of prior relevant internship or project-based work experience in strategy consulting or market research. They are expected to be able to work in teams and bring excellent communication skills, confidence, and a 'can-do' attitude.

    Required: B.S./B.A. degree from a 4-year accredited college or university in any discipline0-2 years, including internship experience, of strategy consulting, market research, or other relevant project-based work experienceDemonstrated success in gathering primary and secondary research through a range of research methodologiesDemonstrated success in analyzing and synthesizing information to draw accurate, logical, and actionable conclusionsExcellent written and verbal communicationDemonstrated experience exercising critical thinking and problem-solving skillsForeign language skills preferred, but not requiredStrong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word)

    Salary range: $90,000 base plus bonus eligible

    The Role

    As a Principal, you'll lead engagements that help the world's top biopharma companies make critical commercial decisions. You'll guide teams, shape strategy, and deliver work that drives real impact-from market opportunity assessments to competitive positioning and product commercialization.

    You'll be a trusted partner to clients and a key contributor to our practice's growth-scoping new opportunities, building relationships, and helping shape the future of our consulting offering.

    What You'll Do

    Be responsible for balancing project management, project delivery, and business development responsibilitiesServe as a strategy and thought partner to clients and senior officers of the firmUtilize IxI technology products and client provided information to develop conclusions and recommendations (written and verbal)Work with senior members of the team to scope and develop proposals for new projectsEngage in practice planning discussions, including practice strategy and marketingAnalyze research and data to uncover insights and build smart, usable recommendationsCraft compelling, client-ready presentations that tell clear, powerful storiesCollaborate across disciplines - working with creatives, behavioral scientists, and technologistsContribute to business development by building proposals and nurturing client relationshipsHelp shape our practice by engaging in strategic planning and marketing initiatives

    What You Bring

    7–8 years of life sciences consulting experience, ideally at a top consulting firm or life sciences data organizationBA/BS required; MBA or Master's in a related field preferredStrong data analyst and synthesis skills-you connect dots others missProven leadership across multiple workstreams and teamsExcellent communication and people management skillsForeign language skills a plus, but not requiredA self-starting, collaborative mindset-you lead with curiosity and clarity

    Salary range: $180,000 - $195,000 base plus bonus eligible

    The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB Group. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need.
