    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe build high end, custom, innovative homes and are expanding our team. We are a design/build firm so you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in the entire process from through design through close out and will have an opportunity for advancement if you want.

    We work from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara but most of our work is focused in Ventura County where we prefabricate a lot of what we build.

    The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, production-oriented individual with a passion for organization and client satisfaction.  The ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively with clients, trade contractors and employees is a must.  Delivering projects on time within the specified budget is paramount to this position.  Working closely with the design and construction teams, the Project Manager will perform the following tasks: Assemble scopes of work, direct value engineering exercises, and develop estimates and proposalsProcure materials, vendors and subcontractors as necessary for each project.  Identify gaps in decision making and bring solutions/recommendations to the deciding parties.Ensure that the project budgets and changes are being managed wellEnsure that the project schedule is being maintained, driven and trackedProvide quality control and technical input as neededSeek opportunities to improve our projects through alternative products and vendor sources Ensure client satisfaction and maintain quality relationships with project partnersConduct regular project check ins to ensure quality and consistency with company construction practicesSchedule and supervise employees, trade contractors, and materialsRequirements: Five (5) years of construction project management experience with oversight/management of productionProven ability to deliver projects on time and within budgetAbility to read and understand Architectural plan setsTechnical understanding of residential and construction codes, sequencing, and best building practicesAbility to gather information, prepare reports and communicate effectivelyExperience with complex and high end projectsDemonstrable experience and passion for quality building and client satisfactionProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including scheduling using MS Project

    We are seeking a hands-on Architectural Project Manager to join our growing design team. You will be responsible for overseeing small project teams to lead the design, permitting, factory production, and site installation of our modular prefabricated homes.

    Job Description:
    Collaborate closely with clients throughout the entire project lifecycle, fostering strong relationships, keeping them informed, and ensuring project outcomes align with their needs.Create architectural designs from initial schematics through detailed drawing sets ready for state and local residential approval as well as factory production. Lead coordination efforts with external architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, and other project consultants.Lead the permitting process and communications with local and state building departments. Ensure projects comply with applicable codes.Coordinate with the factory team to ensure the smooth transition of the design and architectural drawings into production. Actively participate in regular office initiatives to improve design quality, project delivery, and overall process efficiency.
    Must Haves:
    5-12 years of relevant post-academic, professional experience. Experience leading all phases of residential projects from SD through CA. Strong technical design and detailing skills.Experience developing MEP drawings and coordinating across disciplines (structural, civil, MEP, fire sprinkler, interior design, etc.).Excellent understanding of code compliance and the residential permitting process.Experience managing client interactions with professionalism and confidence. Excellent oral and written communications skills.Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture. Proficiency in Revit.Highly organized and detail oriented.

    Experience with prefabricated or modular construction.Architectural licensure in California.

    The ideal candidate will bring a solutions-oriented mindset, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to execute precision finish work both in the factory and on site. This role works closely with the Production Manager, Quality Control, and Site Teams to ensure the highest standards of workmanship are maintained throughout the entire construction process.

    Core Responsibilities:
    Execute detailed interior and exterior finish carpentry in factory-assembled modules and site installations
    Install custom and pre-fabricated cabinets, hardware, millwork, and architectural woodwork to precise specifications
    Perform advanced trim work including casing, baseboards, crown molding, paneling, and ceiling details
    Install doors, windows, stairs, and flooring to meet or exceed finish standards
    Coordinate and assist with siding installation, waterproofing, and air sealing within modular systems
    Conduct quality control inspections and troubleshoot fit/finish issues before shipping and during on-site installation
    Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve constructability challenges in modular design
    Train, mentor, and oversee junior carpenters and laborers in finish techniques, tool safety, and jobsite productivity
    Support on-site module installation and perform supplemental framing and finish work, including roof framing, truss rolling, and field-fit adjustments
    Maintain accurate documentation of field modifications and redlines for feedback into the prefab design loop
    Proactively identify material, tooling, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
    Manage time, manpower, and materials effectively to ensure timely delivery and installation of finish packages

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Minimum 5+ years of experience in high-end finish carpentry; modular or panelized construction experience is strongly preferred
    Deep knowledge of residential building assemblies, code compliance, and moisture management best practices
    Advanced tool proficiency, including power and hand tools used in fine carpentry and modular installation
    Demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities; able to train and lead small teams effectively
    Reliable transportation capable of carrying tools and materials between sites; clean driving record required
    Must own a complete set of finish carpentry tools and keep them in safe, working condition
    Strong work ethic, punctuality, and personal accountability
    Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
