    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in the field of Social Work or a related field. Experience in child welfare, casework, or childcare is beneficial. Experience working with children and families is preferred.

     

     

    The Family Development Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the agency’s mission to ensure safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children and families. This position is responsible for the training, evaluation, and screening of potential resource parents and kinship homes. The Specialist conducts pre-certification sessions, develops comprehensive family profiles, completes required documentation for family approvals, and manages home recertifications as assigned.

    After an initial orientation period, this position offers a hybrid work schedule, with office-based responsibilities in Southampton, PA, and the majority of fieldwork conducted throughout the Philadelphia region.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct training sessions for prospective resource and kinship caregivers, ensuring compliance with agency and state requirements.Evaluate applicants through home studies, interviews, background checks, and reference reviews.Prepare thorough family profiles and documentation to support approval and certification decisions.Provide ongoing assessment and recertification for approved families as required.Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records in accordance with agency and state guidelines.Collaborate with internal teams, social workers, and community partners to support the placement and retention of qualified families.Support caregivers through guidance, resources, and ongoing communication to ensure successful placements.Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field.Prior experience in child welfare, casework, or childcare is beneficial.Experience working directly with children and families is strongly preferred.Knowledge of foster care and kinship care regulations is a plus.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage families from diverse backgrounds.Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.Empathy, sound judgment, and cultural sensitivity in family assessments.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for field visits.

    Work Environment:

    The Family Coach provides supervised visitation for families whose children are in foster care placement through local children and youth agencies. Using the Marty Beyer coaching model, coaches seek to empower parents by building on strengths, supporting empathetic responses in meeting children's needs, be responsive to children's developmental needs, and be an active parent. Visits will include pre and post visit contacts to support parents' goals, role modeling and providing parenting education as needed. Family coaches conduct intake meetings with assigned families, provide visitation schedule oversight, supervise visits in the home, office and/or community, coach parents in visits and communicate regularly with the provider agency worker. The Family Coach is responsible for completing the required documentation. The locations for visit are primarily Lancaster and Lancaster City.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor or Master’s degree in a human services field, preferably in social work, is required.One year in child welfare services or parenting services, or drug and alcohol services.

    Additional information:

    The Family Coach will use his or her own vehicle for frequent, daily travel to visits throughout Bucks and/or Montgomery counties. A valid driver's license, car registration and auto insurance is required, as well as a clean 3 year driving history. This position will entail working during evenings frequently.

    Role Summary:
    We are looking to hire a full-time Mental Health Worker within our Clinical Transition and Stabilization Services (CTSS) at Bethanna. The CTSS Mental Health Worker assists emotionally and behaviorally troubled youth with transitioning into and remaining stable within therapeutic foster homes. Within this innovative clinical support program, all services will be provided under the direction of the clinical team, including CTSS Director and team Therapist. CTSS is a short-term program (a maximum of 90 days) that addresses the mental health and stabilization needs of youth ages 4 to 21 in the foster care system.


    Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Provide 1:1 direct support and modeling in home, school and community, on a time-limited basis as determined by the treatment team
    • Document data on child/youth’s functioning and progress regarding treatment goals -
    • Implement behavioral strategies as developed by the child’s treatment team and provides enhanced support and modeling to the treatment family in the planned implementation of behavioral strategies
    • As determined by the treatment plan, be available to provide support and modeling during the child’s contact with their biological/adoptive family
    • Be available to provide crisis support (1:1 staffing) when necessary, under the direction of the team Therapist/Clinical Supervisor/Clinical Director
    Requirements:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
    • At least one year of post-graduate experience providing behavioral interventions and case management to children and youth in a mental health/child welfare setting.
    • Ability to work effectively as a team member and navigate multiple systems simultaneously is critical.
    • Effective communication (orally and in writing) and basic computer skills and knowledge are required.
    Additional Requirements:
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Free of communicable diseases as verified by a physician's statement prior to beginning the duties of this position.
    • Have Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI clearances completed within the last year.
    • Access to a personal vehicle to be used for transportation purposes during work; will possess a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, car insurance, have a safe driving record and will demonstrate safe driving skills while driving for work purposes.

    SUMMARY:

    The Outpatient Therapist will provide individual and family therapy to an assigned child/youth population receiving clinic services. The Therapist will lead, with the assistance of his/her Clinical Supervisor, the development of the treatment plan for out-patient services. The Therapist will provide services as indicated by the assessment and treatment plan coordination with the anticipated goal of discharge from clinic services. Through supervision with the Clinical Supervisor, the performance of essential duties will be monitored and evaluated

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a mental health discipline, such as clinical psychology, mental health counseling, clinical social work, or other clinically related discipline. The degree must have prepared the student for provision of clinical services via a practicum and internship experience provided in a clinical setting with children and adolescents, with on-site supervision. Online degrees without direct clinical supervision will not be accepted. A minimum of one-year’s post-Master’s verified paid experience providing clinical services to children and adolescents is required. Less than one (1) years requires enhanced clinical supervision. Trained and proficient in an agency identified Evidence Based Practice (PCIT, TF-CBT, ESFT etc.) . Certification in an agency evidence based practice is preferred.

    Overview:

    Salary Range- $50,000 AND $5 BONUS for every evidence-based treatment session

    Schedule – 12 pm to 8 pm (Monday through Thursday); 9 am to 5pm option on Fridays

    Active Clinical Licensure in Pennsylvania: as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (with clinical social work degree), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (with experience treating children/adolescents), or Licensed Psychologist, is preferred but not required.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    · Provide individual and family therapy for an assigned caseload

    · Participate in the identification of need through the development and implementation of the treatment plan by attending treatment team meetings

    · Document all clinical activities which includes treatment plans/updates, progress notes and clinical summaries as needed

    · Coordinate/monitor treatment services provided in conjunction with other professionals (i.e. psychiatrist, partial hospitalization program)

    · Consult with the social worker in the development of the individualized behavior plan and keep informed of the progress

    · Participate in court proceedings and agency contacts where his/her clinical knowledge and expertise is needed to advocate for the child’s best interest

    · In collaboration with team members, keep informed of the child/youth’s educational plan; provide consultation to teachers and other school personnel on clinical issues as needed

    · Participate in the review of treatment goals and discharge planning

    · In crisis, will provide consultation to staff and caregivers as needed

    · Maintain relationships with Managed Care companies and obtain approval for treatment as needed

    · Keep informed of current trends in diagnosis and treatment

    · Provide education to staff, caregivers and legal guardians regarding treatment interventions.

    The Family Coach provides supervised visitation for families whose children are in foster care placement through local children and youth agencies. Using the Marty Beyer coaching model, coaches seek to empower parents by building on strengths, supporting empathetic responses in meeting children's needs, be responsive to children's developmental needs, and be an active parent. Visits will include pre and post visit contacts to support parents' goals, role modeling and providing parenting education as needed. Family coaches conduct intake meetings with assigned families, provide visitation schedule oversight, supervise visits in the home, office and/or community, coach parents in visits and communicate regularly with the provider agency worker. The Family Coach is responsible for completing the required documentation. The locations for visit are primarily in Montgomery or Bucks County.

    There is a $1000. incentive bonus for this position.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor or Master’s degree in a human services field, preferably in social work, is required.One year in child welfare services or parenting services, or drug and alcohol services.

    Additional information:

    The Family Coach will use his or her own vehicle for frequent, daily travel to visits throughout Bucks and/or Montgomery counties.     Education and Experience:

    The Children’s Mobile Intervention Services (CMIS) Mental Health Case Manager pairs with the Intervention Specialist to provide support to youth in crisis and their families.
