    Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner

    Reports to: Medical Director

    Location: Delmar, MD

    Job Summary

    A Nurse Practitioner who performs the duties of a provider in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with the Maryland Scope of practice Act and Best Remedy Urgent Cares policies & procedures, as well as national regulatory licensing guidelines.

    Full time options with additional benefits are available.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Perform thorough physical examination
    Assess and diagnose patients health status
    Order and interpret diagnostic test results
    Formulate patient care plans and prescribe appropriate treatment
    Provides education to patients regarding the results of diagnostic studies and counseling to patients about their care
    Document findings and care rendered
    Perform duties associated with LXMO with clinic approved training
    Other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    Strong visual, verbal, written and typed communication skills
    Strong capabilities in collaborative approaches with other advanced practice providers
    Ability to provide guidance to other medical staff
    The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care
    Experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions
    Basic working knowledge of urgent care setting simple procedures (sutures, splints, I&D)
    Working knowledge of AthenaHealth EHR strongly preferred
    Proficiency with computers and ability to use requisite tools, systems, technology, and equipment in the collection of patient data.
    Radiology/Imaging Experience

    Education
    Nurse Practitioner- Masters or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution

    Certifications and Licenses

    Have and maintain a current, valid state of Maryland NP License, License must be in good standing
    Have and maintain a valid DEA License and CDS certification
    Have and maintain a current, valid state of Maryland RN license
    At least 2 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner
    BLS certification required

    Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
    Reports to: Clinic Manager
    Location: Delmar, MD

    Job Summary

    The Radiologic Technologist/Limited Radiologic Technician performs a full range of routine diagnostic X-ray examinations in an urgent care environment. A successful candidate performs these actions in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations while adhering to Best Remedy Urgent Cares policies, procedures, and standards.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Capture radiologic films providing quality images for advanced practice providers to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.Prepare and position patients anatomically for imaging and select accurate radiation exposure and technical parameters.Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activityMonitor protocols and recommend updates or refinement as warrantedFollow radiation safety procedures and guidelinesMaintain all necessary certifications and licensesPrevent unnecessary radiation exposure to patients in accordance with guidelinesEnsure the prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history)Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriatePrepare patient and chart for clinical exam/visit, including the collection of typical patient vital metrics (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight etc.)Ensure the safety of patients when using wheelchairs, stools, and other assistive devicesAssist provider with clinical visitPerform post visit dutiesMaintain a clean and sanitary work areaCreate and document x-ray CD copies correctly according to guidelinesLabel images and sleeves accuratelyEnsure all necessary paperwork is prepared for the next workdayRestock exam rooms, x-ray room, and office supplies as neededAdhere to established Best Remedy Urgent Care policies and proceduresParticipate in daily huddle with patient care team, staff meetings and training as requiredProvide relief and support to medical assistant functions as requestedAssist other team members as requestedSuccinctly explain company policies and proceduresProvide service in a manner appropriate for all patientsDemonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to meet the patients physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needsEnsure and uphold the confidentially requirements for patient record handlingManage all daily tasks and activities consistent with HIPAA, state and federal laws and regulations and the clinical policies and regulations regarding confidentiality and securityPerform regular logging and compliance activities under the direction of the CMOEnsure all radiology services associated with patient care, patient administrative processes, and related duties comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as clinical policies and proceduresProvide Training and sign off to participating radiology students as part of clinical participatingProvide competency sign off and clinical hour training and support of LXMO staff and LXMO candidates as necessaryParticipate in cross training and triage patients as part of Medical Assistant team when not performing radiology duties

    Required

    High School diploma or equivalency Associate's degree/Technical degree in appropriate field of studyMust be a graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
    Licenses and Certifications

    Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Preferred)Licensed to practice Diagnostic Radiography by the Maryland Department of Environmental Protection.
