Overview
Best One of Grant County is seeking a skilled and motivated Tire and Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves performing routine maintenance, tire services, and oil changes to ensure customer vehicles are safe and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and experience with automotive repairs. Prior dealership or service technician experience is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to vehicle maintenance and repair.
Duties
Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and tire replacements with precision and efficiencyConduct vehicle alignments and wheel balancing to manufacturer specificationsDiagnose basic automotive issues using diagnostic tools and mechanical knowledgeUse hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform maintenance tasksInspect vehicles for safety concerns and recommend necessary repairs or servicesAssist with vehicle inspections, fluid checks, and other routine maintenance proceduresMaintain cleanliness of work area and ensure proper safety protocols are followedProvide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questionsSupport sales efforts by recommending additional maintenance or repair services as appropriateRequirements
Previous dealership or automotive repair experience preferredStrong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnosticsProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipmentAbility to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required for tire installation or parts handlingExcellent customer service skills with a professional attitudeAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailValid driver’s license required; clean driving record preferredBasic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, alignments, and tire servicesStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose automotive issues accuratelyThis position is ideal for individuals passionate about automotive repair and dedicated to providing top-quality vehicle maintenance services.
