A key role for the Director of Career Services is providing support to students as they approach graduation to prepare them for entry-level employment. The Director of Career Services provides a network for hiring employers to benefit the students. The Director of Career Services advises students on the job application process, and interview process, as well as works closely one on one with students.
The Director of Career Services is responsible for securing entry-level employment positions for graduates of the school's programs. Additional responsibilities may include orientation, graduation, planning of special events, training workshops, career fairs, alumni events, and a variety of tasks. Placement goals for this position per week.
The Director of Career Services will be expected to have extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish campus and/or department goals.

Essential Job Functions:Secure verified job placements per week.Secure entry-level jobs in broadcasting and/or media for graduates in good standing.Conduct phone calls to graduates, current employers, and new employers per week. (calls are recorded and monitored)Visit new employers in the community per week with a goal to secure employment opportunities or at a minimum internship opportunities for graduates.Meet with graduates on a weekly basis on campus to assist with employment openings, job applications, resume assistance, interview techniques, and any other areas relevant to placement.Build a pipeline to include graduates actively in job interviews per week.Conduct and host hiring companies to visit the campus and conduct interviews with graduates.Maintain an ongoing database of all information with documentation including, but not limited to the following areas:At least 4 years of direct experience in Career Services, Job Development, Staffing

• Review, manage and actively pursue the lead flow generated through the beonair.com website, social media, search engines, radio and television advertising, high school admissions programs, live internet remote broadcasts, and referrals.
• Make telephone dials to new lead sources and other leads per week
• Set a minimum number of appointments per day and meet with prospective students to provide detailed information about the program. Inspire and motivate prospective students in order to exceed monthly enrollment objectives.
• Collect new student applications from appointments set per week.
• Actively follow through and be accountable for the prospective student as they return for the admission process and/or tuition packaging to ensure and succeed in enrollments per week.
• Maintain a close working relationship with the Financial Aid Advisor by meeting daily to understand the situation of each prospective student, their status, and what is needed for enrollment. Have a basic understanding of student funding options.
• Manage a collaborative student enrollment process to achieve the highest possible level of satisfaction for prospective students.
• Ensure School admissions and company policies & procedures are executed to ensure that accreditation standards, compliance, and regulations are fulfilled.
• Attract students by developing alumni relationships and initiating referral campaigns to induce students to attend the School.
• Participate and/or organize campus events, career events, remote broadcasts, and class visitations.
• Report weekly enrollment activity to the National Admissions Director on day /time requested.
• Manage daily and weekly enrollment objectives by completing an accurate department scorecard

Responsibilities:Supervise education staff leadership, ensuring all campus goals are met and/or surpassed.Ensure Department is supported, managed, and working to meet its scorecard metrics.Assist, model, and lead staff to effectively work with students to resolve issues and problems due to daily calls and tracking to ensure that they are retained and achieve their academic/personal enrichment goals.Ensure staff engage all students with unexplained days of no attendance and revisit their job search goals.Coordinate with staff to ensure that students not on target for graduation date have been spoken with regarding barriers and ensure a plan is in place and agreed to by the student.Ensure excellent student services through structured follow-up with students during their training experience using the customer satisfaction survey as the assessment tool.Coordinate with staff to ensure that students are not on target each term and have been spoken with regarding barriers and ensure a plan is in place.
