Driver Check-In Position
The Driver Check-In position is to receive, store and distribute material, equipment, and Ben E. Keith products, ensuring the safe and efficient storage of BEK inbound shipments. Count and perform quality assessment of BEK returned products to ensure BEK guidelines are met and maintained. Organize and prepare returned products for timely and efficient storage to ensure availability of BEK products, material and equipment. Review paperwork and perform appropriate documentation of products to ensure quantities match shipments. Perform additional duties as needed. DAY SCHEDULE: 10AM-7PM Split Days Off (Thursday/Sunday) *Schedule subject to change*
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
At least 6 months of returns experience preferredMust have 6 months of experience in warehouseMust have experience in one of the following: pallet jack, standup forkliftKnowledge of the food industry helpfulAbility to strictly adhere to safety guidelinesBasic math skills requiredAbility to use a PC and learn relevant internal applicationsWillingness to work in varying climate conditions and shiftsSolid interpersonal skillsEnthusiastic self-starterAbility to receive and follow directionsAbility to multi-taskEfficient time-managementGood written/verbal communication skillsCustomer-focusedStrong attention to detailExcellent work ethicAbility to prioritize projectsPerform additional tasks as neededAbility to Follow DirectionsHigh school graduate or equivalent required.Duties are subject to change.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functionsMust be able to work at a height distance while using a lift (cannot be scared of heights)Able to read product lists and packagesAble to stoop, kneel, crouch, and bendAbility to stand and walk for long periods of timeAbility to handle product weighing up to 100 lbs.Ability to repetitively liftAbility to learn to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legsMust be able to work in different warehouse temperature zones.Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery horns)High school graduate or equivalent required.
