    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Deliver internal and external guest service the Boyd Gaming Way.  Always exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor.  Be polite and courteous when speaking with guests and team members.  Look for and act upon opportunities to assist guests and team members.  Be sincere and genuine during all interactions.  Be prepared with the knowledge and skill required to be responsive to guests and team member’s needs and questions.Responsible for learning and being familiar with all of Boyd Gaming’s room outlets, Cook functions, and for being able to answer general questions regarding the property.Anticipate the guest’s needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.Read food orders from computer printouts, and prepare food items, according to established menu plans.Wash, slice, peel and/or cut various foods to prepare for cooking or serving.Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling or piercing them with utensils.Provide general supervision to kitchen ensuring work procedures, quality standards and menu specifications are adhered to.Guest interaction is a must. Must engage the guest each time they come to the buffet line. Explain product, ask question and build positive relationships with the guest.Coordinate and communicate on orders with dining room staff.Prepare all food items accurately in a timely manner. Complete all assigned prep items as written on prep sheet.Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe and effective manner.Observe and adhere to Health Department regulations regarding food handling, storage, proper steam table temperature, and cleanliness of work environment.Consistent attendance at company/restaurant training programs as they are scheduled.Complete opening, closing and other side duties as assigned by the supervisors.Pass all tests given including the training in order to retain the knowledge needed to be an effective server.Maintain a well-groomed, neat and clean appearance.Possess the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and possess the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards.Perform all duties as assigned by management. Qualifications

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    Must be at least 18 years of age.Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of food items, to standard, in a high-volume, fast-paced operation.Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the application of sanitation procedures.

    Job Description

    Under general supervision, break down, clean and sanitize restaurant outlets, equipment and drains, in observance of all Health Department regulations as well as Company standards and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Job Description

    The Security Officer maintains security protection which includes money transactions, public relations, crowd control, performing command center functions, assisting guests, customers and team members as needed to maintain order; provides administrative support to the Security Supervisor; and performs related tasks within the area of assignment.

    The Security Officer maintains order on Belterra Park property providing extraordinary guest service at all times and has the resiliency to deal with the difficult customer. Monitors and patrols assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees. The Security Officer assists guests and employees on directions and proper procedures. Protects all transfers of money on the gaming floor as well as the physical transportation of jackpots. The Security Officer assists sick or injured guests and employees. Reports unsafe or hazardous conditions. The Security Officer checks identification of all persons that appear to be under 21 years of age. Stays alert for, reports, and responds appropriately to all violations on company property. The Security Officer composes accident/incident reports and witness statements when necessary. Operates company vehicles in a safe manner.  The Security Officer responds to Emergency situations as necessary. Conducts emergency actions including, but not limited to performing evacuations, establishing and maintaining cordons, and perimeters. Performs dispatch activities and logs all dispatches accurately. The Security Officer prepares detailed reports on security incidents and submits to Security Management for review. Maintains confidentiality with respect to company and guest information.Qualifications

    This position spends a majority of on-duty time standing and/or walking in public areas of the property, including but not limited to, the gaming pavilion, restaurants, meeting spaces, rooming areas, parking lots, and grounds.Must be able to effectively and efficiently transverse stairs, uneven surfaces, varied flooring surfaces and ground coverings while patrolling, responding to calls for service or emergency situations.Ability to compose, review and comprehend, clear, concise and accurate reports.Must be able to identify and quickly respond to potential problems, altercations and conflicts and defend self and others in combative situations.Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs, move money boxes, carts and drop equipment as necessary.Must be able to assist sick or injured guests and/or employees.Ability to communicate courteously, effectively, and professionally with guests, outside contacts and all levels of employees.Must be able to use tools and equipment, including but not limited to, keys, handcuffs, flashlights, radios, computers and other tools specific to the position.Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.May drive company vehicles at timesAbility to perform duties under varying conditions, including but not limited to, exposure to varying levels of crowds, noise, and changing weather conditions. Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain extremely confidential information.General familiarity with investigative procedures.Must be bondable with no felony convictions.Valid driver's license, required.Ability to compose clear, accurate, and concise reports.CPR Certificate and blood borne pathogen training.Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations.Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required.Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.

    The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer.     Maintains and repairs refrigerator equipment, boilers, and electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.Fabricates, repairs, and maintains equipment such as any mechanical devices, motors, and pumps throughout property.Assists in building interface or accessory equipment as needed.Responds to customer requests for maintenance assistance in order to provide courteous, timely and expert service.Assists in the installation, removal or relocation of electronic equipment, in accordance with established priorities.Fixes all property electronic equipment (except for slot machines and computers) by repairing minor damage to parts and wiring and replacing failed components, in order to ensure proper operation of all equipment according to established schedules and department standards.Repair and installs structural woodwork and equipment; assist is preparing wall surface for painting and wall covering, in order to ensure proper operation of all equipment according to established schedules and department standards.Performs upholstery work as required on hotel and casino chairs, sofas, gaming tables/layouts, restaurant booths and equipment.Installs and maintains all tile, marble floor materials, carpet, carpet tiles.Examines and performs preventative maintenance checks on various types of electronic equipment to include fire alarms, surveillance systems, and satellite systems according to established schedules under supervision, in order to ensure that potential problems are fixed before equipment becomes dysfunctional.Runs milling equipment, lathes and power tools; welds materials.Performs all operations incidental to any type of maintenance painting and carpentry to meet specifications.Uses manual or mechanical means under general supervision.     EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    The skills necessary for this position are typically acquired through a minimum of three years’ related engineering experience in a hotel/casino with 750 or more rooms, and/or through the completion of an AA Degree in a related field and five years’ related experience.  Previous supervisory experience preferred.

    Knowledge of:

    Hires, motivates, evaluates, and manages staff in order to ensure that team members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.Develops, implements, and monitors department standards, guidelines, and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of department.Responsible for morale of department through quality of supervision and training and provides training for all department personnel to ensure customer service standards are met.Establishes and maintains consumer marketing objectives, standards, procedures, and budgets in accordance with Belterra Park corporate policy to ensure the proper management of departments.Manages long and short-term planning for all functions of the consumer marketing departments including analysis of product and market opportunities, program effectiveness, and development of strategies to ensure adequate level of guest satisfaction and achievement of established market share goals.Manages agency creative and production functions for development of all property marketing materials to support key operational areas. Aligns communication with Player Development host team.Leverages Salesforce CRM tool to provide communication road maps for VIP segment.Oversees and develops all property advertising, in conjunction with outside agencies, to promote the property and its activities and maintain consistency with corporate marketing policy, strategies, and goals.Communicates Boyd Rewards loyalty card program with Boyd Rewards Center and manages Boyd Rewards benefits fulfillment.Ensures that all Marketing events and programs follow gaming regulations with timeliness of promotional submissions and reporting.Meets and communicates with staff and other departments to facilitate planning for fulfilling their special promotional needs such as for parties, etc.Plans and coordinates promotions and special events, including development of ideas and creation of events calendar.Communicates goals and needs in order to facilitate planning for promotional programs.Responsible for the development and execution of creative and promotional solutions in response to competitive issues and problems.Works closely with Director of Marketing on the development of long- and short-term strategies, as well as the evaluation of the consumer marketing plans.In concert with the special events staff, hosts and facilitates all events, ensuring profitability goals are met and productivity reports are created and forwarded as needed.Determines supplies necessary for the special event activities to ensure the timely procurement of necessary parts and that par inventory is maintained; coordinates the upkeep and maintenance of equipment to ensure proper operation.Performs related duties and responsibilities as required

     

     

    Qualifications

    This knowledge and these skills are typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Hospitality, or related field, in addition to 5+ years in a leadership role in marketing and/or player development at a casino property.

    Ability to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment.Must successfully pass background checkMust successfully pass an alcohol and drug screeningMust be willing to work a variety of shifts to include swing shifts and holidays if neededKnowledge of the casino and tourism business.Experience with managing a marketing and/or host teamUnderstanding of the regional geographic market that the casino will attract.Understanding of the technical workings of media and media buying; advertising; research; public relations; and promotions.Complete familiarity with budgeting process, financial statements, and basic accounting principles; understanding of corporate and property-specific policies and procedures.Knowledge of strategic marketing, planning, and organizational and project tracking
