QUALIFICATIONS:
M inimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field—or equivalent experience
Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience in program, project, or portfolio management
Experience in the financial industry with a deep understanding of operations and strategy execution
Experience leading project management efforts for system conversions or integrations
Mortgage industry experience
D esired Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles ( i.e ., PMP , Green Belt, etc.)
Proven leadership of large-scale project or program management teams
Demonstrated ability to influence across multiple stakeholder groups without direct authority
Skilled in both short- and long-term strategic planning
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience engaging executives and board-level audiences

PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $194,400.00-$237,800.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $151,400.00 - $280,900.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITS
Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As BECU’s Director of Product Management – New Product Development, Consumer Lending, you’ll drive the strategy, vision, and execution of innovative lending products that truly serve our members' evolving financial needs. You’ll be at the forefront of defining the future of our lending experience—leading cross-functional teams, guiding new product development, and shaping experiences that are relevant, inclusive, and forward-thinking.
Your leadership will empower product teams to move from idea to implementation, using insights, research, and strategy to turn opportunities into reality. Whether it’s enhancing existing services or introducing new, member-first solutions, you’ll help position BECU as a trusted partner in every financial journey. And you won’t do it alone—you’ll lead a talented team and collaborate across the business to build capabilities that matter.
To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, SC or GA. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance to our Tukwila Headquarters (TFC), we encourage you come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week. For those candidates that live outside the commutable distance to TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be primarily remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Define Product Strategy: Set the vision, roadmap, and long-term goals for new and existing lending products, ensuring they align with BECU’s growth, engagement, and experience objectives.
Lead with Influence: Make key decisions within a complex product ecosystem, while collaborating across teams and functions to unify efforts and outcomes.
Translate Feedback into Action: Evaluate product performance and member feedback to identify meaningful improvements and new product opportunities—integrating them into our strategic priorities.
Drive Market-Driven Innovation: Partner with Marketing to respond to industry shifts and market opportunities. Develop penetration strategies for new segments and geographies.
Deliver Pricing & Product Recommendations: Align offerings with business objectives by providing strategic guidance on pricing and product positioning.
Monitor Trends & Disruptions: Offer thought leadership on market trends and technologies that shape consumer expectations and influence how we build lending solutions.
Champion Product Flow: Ensure efficient and innovative progression from research to concept to delivery, maximizing the value of our product development pipeline.
Own Portfolio Outcomes: Set, track, and deliver on performance metrics across your product portfolio. Adjust strategy based on learnings and outcomes.
Foster Collaboration & Discovery: Work with the UX and Design team to ensure experience journeys are deeply informed by research and member needs.
Manage Product Financials: Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and vendor relationships—ensuring financial performance aligns with goals and investments.
Lead & Mentor with Purpose: Inspire, coach, and grow a high-performing team. Provide regular feedback, development opportunities, and support to help them thrive.
Share Knowledge & Build Culture: Encourage information-sharing and collaboration, empowering team members to grow and lead with clarity and confidence.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of people leader experience.
Experience working with consumer lending products.
