    About Monet Bank

Monet Bank is pioneering the future of banking and money movement — faster, more efficient, and built for the modern financial ecosystem.

At our core, we believe Monet Bank is an essential bridge to the next generation of banking and payments infrastructure. As a profitable, well-capitalized Texas state-chartered bank and FDIC-Insured — backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government — Monet combines the strength and stability of traditional banking with forward-thinking financial technology innovation.

If you are motivated by building secure, intentional, and future-ready banking infrastructure, we invite you to explore opportunities with Monet Bank.

    About the Role

We're a small, fast-moving bank, and our cloud environment is core to everything we build. As a Senior Cloud Architect, you'll own our AWS environment end to end — designing it, running it, securing it, and setting the standards we grow into. This is a hands-on role with real autonomy and unusually direct impact: you won't be one architect among many, you'll be our cloud function. If you like the pace of a startup but want the substance of building resilient, compliant infrastructure for a regulated bank, this is that role.

    What You'll Own

The design, operation, and security of Monet's entire AWS environment. The migration and modernization path for key workloads to the cloud. The automation, resilience, and cost standards the rest of the team builds against.

Core Responsibilities (Essential duties include, but are not limited to):

    Architecture & delivery

Design and operate scalable, secure, cost-effective AWS architectures across compute, storage, data, and networking.Lead cloud migration and modernization with minimal disruption to the business.

    Automation & operations

Drive Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD so provisioning is consistent, repeatable, and auditable.Own monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and cost optimization; design backup and multi-region failover strategies.Maintain clear architecture documentation and data-flow diagrams for operations and audit.

    Security & compliance

Define and enforce cloud security standards (network design, encryption, and identity & access management) aligned to banking regulations.Partner with Security and Risk to keep the architecture compliant by design.

    Collaboration

Work directly across a small, cross-functional team, and help establish engineering standards as the team grows.Evaluate emerging technologies and manage key cloud vendor relationships.

    AI Platform Administration

As a secondary responsibility, administer Monet's AI platforms (Claude / ChatGPT): user provisioning and access controls, SSO/identity integration, and usage guidelines and security guardrails for responsible, compliant AI use in a regulated environment. This is a smaller, well-scoped part of the role alongside your core cloud work.

    Required Qualifications:

8-10 years in IT (at least 5 years in cloud architecture or infrastructure roles) with strong, hands-on cloud experience, including demonstrated AWS delivery. Deep AWS expertise across compute, storage, networking, and databases.Hands-on with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD.Strong cloud network and security design: VPC, encryption, and identity and access management.Comfortable operating with autonomy in a small, fast-paced environment and wearing multiple hats.Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

AWS certification (Solutions Architect – Professional).Edge security/CDN and observability tooling.Experience administering or governing enterprise AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI/ChatGPT).Financial services or other regulated-industry experience.

    Benefits options include:

Medical, dental and vision coverage401K with company match10 paid holidays Accrue up to 17 vacation/sick days per year in your first year on a pro rata basisApplicant may be eligible for annual discretionary bonus

    No relocation assistance provided.

If you are looking to be a part of a winning team and meet the above requirements, we look forward to hearing from you.
