    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support continued growth and oversee key aspects of the accounting function. This role will report directly to the CFO and partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Planning, and Operations.

    The Accounting Manager will be a hands-on leader responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, supporting the month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. This individual will also lead and develop a small accounting team and help improve processes to scale with the business.



    Key Responsibilities

    Accounting Operations

    Support the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timelinessAssist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsPerform account reconciliations across key areas including cash, A/R, accruals, and other balance sheet accountsSupport general ledger activities and maintain compliance with GAAPAssist with fixed assets, payroll, and accrual accounting processesManage bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking

    Financial Reporting & Analysis

    Contribute to financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activitiesAnalyze financial data and support development of KPIs and performance metricsIdentify process improvement opportunities and enhance internal controlsProvide insights to help drive operational efficiency and financial performance

    Accounts Receivable & Billing

    Oversee the accounts receivable function, including maintaining A/R aging and monitoring collectionsProactively reduce aged receivables through customer outreach and collection effortsManage full-cycle A/R activities, including invoicing, collections, credit memos, and adjustmentsReconcile A/R subledger to the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of transactionsReview and validate chargebacks, deductions, and customer claimsPartner with Sales and customers to resolve discrepancies and improve cash flowReconcile invoice details with fulfillment and shipping reports

    Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Support

    Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including Senior Accountant and A/R personnelPartner with internal teams (Sales, Planning, Operations) to support business needsCommunicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in fashion, retail, or consumer productsExperience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite (or equivalent)Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentalsExperience managing accounts receivable and general ledger functionsBackground in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments is a plus

    * Update regular treasury reports (daily, monthly, quarterly and annually) to manage short borrowing needs

    * Record daily cash journal entries in general ledger (SAP)

    * Resolve exception items and work with accounting group to resolve any questions regarding transactions

    * Manage day-to-day banking activities including the execution of wire and ACH transactions.

    * Analyze monthly bank account analysis invoices and other bank reports for accuracy. Regularly interacts and resolves issues with bank representatives.

    * Must ensure that all daily individual cash transactions for each legal entity are properly accounted for

    * Prepare monthly account reconciliations for ghost card account

    * Execute month end journal entries for debt instruments in SAP Treasury Module

    * Interface with accounting team members to ensure accuracy of financial reports

    * Interface with Treasury team members to create and maintain cash forecasts used to create annual financing plans

    * Administer opening/closing of bank accounts and update bank documentation as needed

    * Ensure internal audit and SOX compliance protocols are met

    * Perform other duties as assigned.

    Must-Have Skills:
