    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to support our Accountin team. This role will be responsible for accounting activities, variance analysis, month-end close, and financial reporting within a SAP environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles, and hands-on experience utilizing SAP to support operational and financial decision-making.



    Key Responsibilities

    Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to cost accounting and inventory.Analyze manufacturing costs, material usage, labor costs, overhead absorption, and production variances.Maintain and review standard costs, product costing structures, and bill of material (BOM) costing data within SAP S/4HANA.Prepare inventory reconciliations and ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and related general ledger accounts.Investigate and explain purchase price variances (PPV), production variances, and inventory adjustments.Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Plant Management to analyze cost drivers and identify opportunities for improvement.Assist with month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.Support physical inventory counts, cycle count programs, and inventory reserve analyses.Maintain cost center reporting and profitability analysis using SAP S/4HANA reporting tools.Monitor manufacturing and inventory transactions to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis related to inventory and costing.Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and controls within the SAP S/4HANA environment.Participate in ERP enhancements, testing, process improvements, and system implementations related to cost accounting.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of accounting experience.Hands-on experience utilizing SAP, or related SAP modules.SOX internal controls from a multi-national publicly traded companyStrong excel skillsStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to business partner and collaborate cross functionally

    About the Company

    We are a growing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturer based in the San Gabriel Valley. Our products are distributed through retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels, and we are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support the continued growth of our manufacturing operations. This position offers direct exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to work closely with the CFO on strategic accounting and financial initiatives.



    Position Summary

    The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the month-end close process, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis. This individual will work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will have experience in CPG, manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-intensive environments.



    Key Responsibilities

    Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Manage inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, reserves, and valuation adjustments.Analyze manufacturing and production costs, labor, overhead allocation, and inventory variances.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.Support external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements.Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory controls and reporting processes.Identify and implement accounting process improvements and efficiencies.Assist the CFO with special projects, analysis, and strategic initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within CPG, manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer products, or distribution industries.Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing operations.Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis.Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar platforms.CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred.Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

    Preferred Experience

    Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience.Manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.Multi-location or multi-channel distribution environments.Experience supporting audits and implementing process improvements.

    Responsibilities

This role is ideal for an accounting professional with manufacturing or operations experience who enjoys analyzing costs, improving processes, and partnering with business leaders to drive profitability. Strong SAP experience is required.



    Key Responsibilities

    Analyze manufacturing and operational costs, inventory balances, and product profitability.Perform standard cost updates, cost rollups, and variance analysis.Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Monitor inventory valuation and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.Partner with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.Generate financial reports and KPIs using SAP and Excel.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit support.

    Qualifications
