Position Summary
The Assistant Director supports the School Director in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and high-quality operation of the school. Summary
Pay: $17.00-$21.00/hour, based on education and experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Were seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our early childhood
education team at our Athens, Watkinsville, and Bogart locations. In this role, you will
play a vital part in nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning in our preschool
environment. Your contributions will help shape the future of our students and support
their growth in a safe and engaging setting.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, social
skills, and physical development.
Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages
exploration and learning.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to promote positive interactions among
students.
Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and
classroom activities.
Foster a love for learning through creative play, hands-on activities, and structured
lessons.
Qualifications
Bachelors, Associates, TCD, TCC, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child
Development
Minimum 12 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting
CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early
education
Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff
effectively
Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day
