    Key Responsibilities:


    Leadership & Staff Support

    Operations & Administration

    Operational Flexibility

    Qualifications

    Associate orBachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related fieldrequired; advanced coursework preferred.At least 23 years of experience in early education with prior supervisory or leadership experience.Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.Knowledge of licensing requirements, DECAL standards, and best practices in early education.Ability toleadbyexample,fosteringcollaboration, professionalism, and a supportiveteamculture.Flexible, adaptable, and committed to serving families and children with excellence.

    Summary
    The Nutritionist is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks that meet federal, state, and local health regulations, as well as Beacon Hill Schools standards. This role ensures the safe and sanitary operation of the kitchen and pantry,
    menu development, management of food inventory and ordering, supports children with special dietary needs, and contributes to a positive, nurturing environment in alignment with our mission of guiding bright futures.


    Schedule: Monday-Friday


    Responsibilities

    Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks in accordance with Beacon Hill Schools menus and federal/state guidelines.Maintain knowledge of childrens food allergies and ensure meals accommodate dietary restrictions.Manage weekly food inventory, monitor stock levels, and submit
    timely order requests to ensure uninterrupted service.Assist in building and refining menus that meet nutritional standards, state guidelines, and the developmental needs of children.Document and post all menu changes for licensing and parent communication.Comply with federally mandated universal precautions, infection control procedures, and all food safety regulations.Clean, disinfect, and sanitize dishes, countertops, stove, and kitchen equipment daily (or more often, if needed).Stay current with nutrition information and best practices in child nutrition and food preparation.Interact with children in a positive and supportive manner that reflects Beacon Hill Schools mission and values.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.


    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in nutrition or food safety preferred.Experience in food preparation, menu planning, or child nutrition strongly preferred.Knowledge of child nutrition, food allergies, and dietary guidelines.Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage inventory and ordering processes.Ability to follow health, sanitation, and safety standards consistently.Ability to work collaboratively with staff and engage positively with children.ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).Must pass all required background checks and meet DECAL requirements
    A team-player attitude with a love for working with children
    Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.Perform routine bending, reaching, and carrying of food and supplies.Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining safety standards.

    Responsibilities

    Street curriculum

    Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior
    Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions
    Foster relationships with students and families through kind, professional
    interactions
    Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies


    Qualifications
    CDA, TCC, or experience working toward an early childhood education credential
    preferred
    GED or High School Diploma required
    At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting (or strong desire to
    learn)
    CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
    Must pass all required background checks and meet DECAL requirements
    A team-player attitude with a love for working with children
    Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stay actively engaged throughout the day
