Seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for roadway paving and runway construction on military installations and federal highway construction projects. The ideal estimator possesses a strong understanding of Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, IDIQ, and federal construction requirements as well as having a track record of successfully estimated projects. They will prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates, manage the bid process, analyze project risks, and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
Primary duties and responsibilities include,
Prepare detailed conceptual, budgetary, and final construction estimates.Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope.Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids.Lead bid preparation, proposal development, and bid submissions.Analyze project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.Coordinate with project managers and operations teams during project handoff.Support estimating staff as necessary.Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and bid documentation.Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings as required.Assist with change order pricing and cost analysis throughout project execution.Ensure all required documentation is submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with military and company policies.

Must have a driver’s license.Must have a clean driving record.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, federal background check, and/or MVR check.Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimation, experience as an estimator on military or government projects preferred.Must have proficient electronic skills and willingness to learn new software as it becomes necessary.Ability to manage multiple bids and adapt to dynamic deadlines.Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for work on Tinker AFB and similar work environments.Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.Experience with RSMeans, ODOT, & B2W is a plus.
