Distinguishing Characteristics:
Maintenance Worker I: This is the entry level class in the Maintenance Worker series and is distinguished from the Maintenance Worker II by the performance of the basic and more routine tasks and duties involved in the installation, repair and maintenance of the managed facilities and grounds. Since this class is typically used as a maintenance training class, employee may have only limited or no directly related work experience.
Maintenance Worker II: This is the journey level class within the Maintenance Worker series. Employees within this class are distinguished form the Maintenance Worker I by the performance of the full range of building and grounds maintenance and repair work including the more complex tasks. Employees at this level receive only occasional instructions or assistance a new or usually situations arise and are fully aware of the operational procedures, and policies of the work unit. Periodic Inspections
9. Safety Inspections
· Weekly inspections in the warehouse & yard for safety hazards. Keep a blank safety checklist/inspection sheet for weekly fill out (Justin to provide).
· Log each safety inspection and file hard copies into safety folder/binder.
10. Emergency Response Readiness
· Ensure that emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, spill kits) is stocked, accessible, and inspected monthly (keep inspection log sheets for each of these, i.e. first aid, fire extinguishers, etc.).
11. Tool & Equipment Inventory
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of tools, equipment, and consumables.Notify management when supplies are low or replacements are needed.
12. Company Policy Violations
Report any noticed company violations following any and all inspections (negligence, misuse, disorganization, etc.).
