    What We're Looking For

    In this teaching position, you use your passion for your subject to inspire and teach higher-level content than what is typical of secondary students. You work collaboratively with other teachers to create a learning culture in which diverse perspectives are challenged and tested in an environment of informed thought and collegiality.

    Primary Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare subject specific lessons in Spanish. Provide subject instruction on a higher level than grade standard, in an interactive learning environment and delivering exceptional results for all students. Implement BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments to ensure students' education is at an internationally competitive level. Collaborate with other BASIS Independent teachers to form a community of smart, talented and interesting people who are passionate about education and readily willing to work in a professional, academic environment. Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills to heighten the trajectory of students' academic and career success. Manage student behavior to foster academic achievement, personal responsibility, intellect and individuality in all students.     Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in the subject area. Coursework or experience in education is not required, nor is certification. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card.

    Preferred Qualifications: Subject matter postgraduate work (master's or Ph.D.) is preferred. Together with a high level of educational attainment, a successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills in teaching ideas, texts, and concepts with precision and confidence. Critically, an applicant must possess a high GPA in their major, excellent recommendations, experience working with children- not necessarily in the classroom- and be open to new ideas in teaching.

    What We're Looking For

    The School Health Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and providing services related to maintaining the health and wellness of students. Through elevated expectations of student capabilities and a willingness to ensure that all students have the support they need to be successful, our School Health Coordinator will work together with our student support team to monitor student health needs and provide appropriate services while building strong relationships with parents, students, teachers and supportive members of the school community.

    This position is Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm.

    Your Primary Responsibilities Establishes and maintains standards of first aid care for the emergency treatment of student injuries and illness during the school day and keeps a high level of neatness, cleanliness and organization of the health clinic. Organizes and maintains student health records, medication cabinet and medical administration and daily clinic records, and prepares required reports. Collaborates with the student support team to develop protocol and programming for the safety and well-being of the students in grades PK-12. Communicates effectively and professionally with student support team and families regarding student health and well-being. Reviews records from students' previous school and communicates with families required updates of student health records (e.g. immunizations). Ensure compliance with applicable City, State and Federal health regulations. Collaborates with the operations team to develop protocol and programming for a hygienic facility. Supports school attendance by working closely with students who must use medication in the treatment of illness or chronic disabilities. Supports school administration by performing tasks related to student data collection and responding to frequently asked questions. Assigned additional tasks and projects as needed to support the entire school function.
    Position Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications: An associate's degree and valid fingerprint clearance. Knowledge of child and adolescent growth and development. Experience treating minor injuries and/or providing medical support to patients or students. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency. Flexible hours are required.

    Preferred Qualifications: Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Medical Assistant strongly preferred. Knowledge of communicable disease prevention and medication protocol. Together with a high level of personal responsibility and optimism, a successful applicant will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and will thrive in a fast-paced, achievement-oriented learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tennis, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for high school students.

    Responsibilities:

    Organize and Conduct Practices: Plan and execute tennis practices three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Develop and implement skill-building drills and exercises suitable for high school students. Focus on fundamental techniques, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Player Development: Provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their skills. Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes personal growth and confidence. Game Preparation: Prepare students for interscholastic competitions, emphasizing both individual and team performance. Teach game strategies and reinforce proper match etiquette. Communication: Facilitate virtual (Zoom) parent meeting at the beginning of the season, the week of March 16th. Facilitate end-of-season banquet by offering team awards: May 28th Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and school administration. Provide regular updates on team progress, upcoming events, and any other relevant information. Team Building: Foster a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among players. Organize team-building activities to strengthen bonds and enhance the overall experience for participants.

    Qualifications:

    Knowledge of the rules and regulations of tennis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Positive and motivational coaching style. Ability to work well with diverse groups of students.

    Schedule:
