Basile Studio is a full-service design/build firm known for bold, detail-heavy work in restaurants, hotels, and retail spaces. We build custom furniture, metalwork, millwork, lighting — and we need an estimator who understands how it all comes together.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fabrication Project Estimation
Analyzing project specification and utilizing assembly operations - estimate the material, labor and overhead cost for fabrication for all components and overall build.
Collaborate with all departments to understand project requirements and deadlines and to keep your estimates within the client budget.
Study previous projects data and define and document improved process for estimation.
Document timing for high level and detailed estimates.
Build and maintain a cost database that will allow for quicker estimating.
Work with engineering team to develop new and more efficient processes.
Establish standards for Engineering and Fabrication departments that reduce hours and consolidate materials for as many processes as possible.
Work with the Project Engineer and client to reduce costs at the early/design stage and work with engineers at the design pass off to remove waste and augment build procedures.
Identify out of budget items and communicate internally for process fixes to bring items back into budget.
Identify and resolve roadblocks and delays in a timely manner and communicate accordingly.
Qualification Requirements
5+ Years of experience in building construction and fabrication both metal and wood
Ability to read and understand blueprints/shop drawings
Experience with budgeting
Understanding of fabrication equipment, processes and materials
Ability to handle multiple projects at once
Strong organization and process skills
Data analysis and critical thinking

BASILE Studio is looking for a creative and committed engineer with a passion for custom details, holistic design and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Success in this position is dependent on not only being a creative problem solver, but having strong communication skills, excellent follow-through, being detail-oriented, and most importantly having the desire of joining a team that is fast-moving, adaptive to change, comfortable with implementing processes, and likes to get things done.
We are seeking team members that will bring their UNIQUE skill set. That is highly versatile, capable of switching gears, and producing informative easy to read drawings in a short amount of time.
Each engineer is required to lead a project from beginning to end through all phases of development into final install.
You will be responsible for production and project management of individual custom items. Included but not limited to:
Convert Sketchup/AutoCAD design concepts into manufacturing blueprints using SolidWorks.
Calculate static and dynamic loads.
Create 3D Models and shop drawings (broken down into logical sub-assemblies), Bill of Materials, and CNC cut files.
Estimate material needs early in design to track anticipated spending.
Coordinate with designers, structural engineers, fabricators, purchasing, and outside vendors.
Production Planning - Define and calculate project requirements, source materials, components, and hardware. Outline fabrication methods and install plan.
Design jigs and templates to aid the fabrication process.
Project Management - Redline shop drawings and help troubleshoot issues during fabrication/installation. Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Every team member is required to support others, whether its scheduled help or stepping in when they need it.
Clear communication and ability to prioritize are crucial to keep the team going.
We all must operate with a sense of urgency while still delivery a high-quality product.
We are all required to wear multiple hats, not just for the engineering team but for the company as whole and contribute to our overall culture.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or similar required.
4+ years Mechanical Design Experience (SolidWorks) in a professional setting required.
Sheet metal and weldment design experience preferred.
Knowledge of various fabrication methods, processes, and materials.
Basic knowledge of electrical design, controls, and programming.
Familiar with building codes and able to read architectural drawings.
Effective and clear communications, both verbal and written.
Ability to handle sensitive information with diplomacy.
Seek out opportunities to do more than expected.
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
Ability to learn new technology.
Fast learner, self-starter, and ability to complete tasks with minimal direction.
You are collaborative and enjoy working as part of a small team.
Animal lovers preferred.
Software
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Sketch Up, AutoCAD required.
Proficiency in Revit, V-Carve (nesting software), and an ERP system (material and project management software) preferred.

This is a full-time position.
Annual Salary Based on Experience.
