Barbaricum is seeking a Journeyman Full Stack Application Developer to support the USSOCOM J6 Budget Tool. This role will design, develop, test, and sustain enterprise-level applications that drive high availability, reliability, and performance.
The developer will work as part of a cross-functional team supporting mission-critical financial systems, ensuring compliance with DoD standards, USSOCOM requirements, and cybersecurity policies. Candidates must bring demonstrated expertise in both front-end and back-end development, with proficiency in Angular, .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Windows Services.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain application features supporting the USSOCOM J6 Budget ToolImplement responsive front-end interfaces using AngularDevelop back-end services and APIs with .NET and C#Design, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases, queries, and stored proceduresDevelop and sustain Windows Services for workflow automation and integrationConduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testingEnsure all applications adhere to DoD cybersecurity and secure coding standardsSupport lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, design documentation, deployment, and sustainmentCollaborate with government stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to meet mission requirements
Required Qualifications:
Active DoD TS/SCI clearanceDoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience3–7 years of experience as an application developer Demonstrated expertise with: Angular (front-end development).NET and C# (back-end development)SQL Server (database design and optimization)Windows Services (design and sustainment)Experience with Agile development methodologiesStrong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting USSOCOM or DoD financial systemsFamiliarity with DevSecOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworksExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud servicesFamiliarity with PowerApps/O365 environmentsExperience working within DISA STIGs, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
