Job Title: Maintenance Team Lead / Maintenance Lead
Location: Sacramento, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $75,000 – $98,000 annually (DOE)
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday (4x10 Schedule)
On-Call: Required for emergency situations
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to oversee daily maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading a team of technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and performance goals are met, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise maintenance team members on assigned shiftPromote and enforce a strong safety culture across all operationsEnsure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and regulatory requirementsAssign daily work, distribute work orders, and manage maintenance schedulesReview and ensure completion of all maintenance, repair, and modification work ordersCoordinate with Maintenance Planner to prioritize and reschedule work as neededAct as the primary point of contact for emergency maintenance issuesCommunicate critical updates, project timelines, and costs to the Maintenance ManagerCoordinate maintenance activities with operations and external contractorsEnsure smooth shift transitions by communicating ongoing and completed workSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failuresMonitor inventory and recommend improvements or replacement of obsolete partsQualifications
Required:
Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Maintenance, or related fieldOR 6+ years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systemsExperience leading teams or supervising maintenance personnelAbility to prioritize tasks and work under pressurePreferred:
Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) toolsExperience in food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environmentsKey Skills
