Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Type of Role: Contract to Hire
Shift / Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
Location: San Jose, CA
Hourly Range: $24 - $26/hr DOE
Role and Responsibilities:
Functions as primary contact point for both, customer and internal management for all operational activities related to receiving departmentWorks with customer and suppliers to provide accurate data and proactively follow up for receiving discrepancies resolution on a timely mannerProvides operational support, always through the proper identification of training needs versus process Work Instruction/SOPIs able to certify receiving operators in the correct execution of processes and/or work instructions.Provides continuous improvement recommendations to managementSupports receiving activities as neededResponsible for receiving key process indicatorsReports to area supervisor for all matters relating to conformance, inventory or materials reports as required.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
At least 4 years experience in warehouse shipping and receiving environment (prior team lead experience a plus).Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Highly detail oriented with a high sense of follow up on open actions upon resolutionGood communication skills to summarize problems and actions/support needed both, verbally and writtenAdvanced PC skills, with Medium-High excel knowledge and email correspondencePrevious ERP experience (Oracle preferred)Read and understand visual aids.Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out simple one-or-two-step instructions.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Key Responsibilities
Perform mold installations, machine setups, startups, and changeovers.Operate injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment while ensuring all hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and water connections are properly configured.Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, assist with mold sampling and validation activities, and support continuous production improvements.Complete setup documentation, production records, and process data accurately while communicating important information between shifts.Handle raw materials, perform basic preventative maintenance, and ensure molds are cleaned, tagged, and stored according to company procedures.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while supporting production, engineering, and quality teams as needed.Qualifications
