    Location: Baltimore, MD

    Compensation: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour (DOE)

    Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (Overtime Available)

    Industry: Plastics / Packaging Manufacturing

    What a Day Looks Like

You arrive just before 7:00am to handoff notes from the night crew. A slitter is flagging a sensor fault and a press needs a tension adjustment. You prioritize safety, scan the maintenance log, then dive in—isolating the issue with your meter, tracing schematics, and verifying the fix. By mid-morning, you’re executing preventative tasks on laminators, checking pneumatics and hydraulics, and logging work to keep uptime high. After lunch, a PLC-triggered fault on a converting line sends you to the HMI to troubleshoot I/O, and you wrap up the day by planning a small facility upgrade and supporting a continuous improvement kaizen.

Core Responsibilities Execute both preventative and corrective maintenance on high-speed production assets.Diagnose and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.Service and repair printing presses, slitters, laminators, and related converting equipment.Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment to restore throughput and reduce downtime.Perform facility maintenance and implement building improvements as needed.Identify root causes of failures and complete repairs that prevent recurrence.Champion reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. What You Bring 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing environments (or equivalent education/experience).Deep understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability.Ability to read and apply blueprints and electrical schematics.Experience diagnosing PLC-driven equipment.Personal set of basic hand tools (company provides specialized tools).Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends.
