POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of airport vehicles, equipment, and facilities. This role supports safe and efficient airport operations through preventive maintenance, emergency response, and general facility upkeep. Overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required based on operational needs.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Inspect, maintain, modify, repair, and replace gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles, snow removal equipment, and motorized hand tools.Diagnose equipment conditions, identify malfunctions, and determine appropriate repair solutions.Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and airport infrastructure.Operate and maintain heavy airport equipment, including snow removal equipment.Maintain ARFF equipment in operational condition to meet FAA ARFF Index requirements.Perform maintenance and repairs on airfield systems, including lighting, signage, and related infrastructure.Support general airport maintenance activities such as snow removal, groundskeeping, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical or mechanical work.Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with safety standards.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Communicate effectively with airport personnel using a two-way radio.Assist airport leadership during emergencies, inclement weather events, and special operational needs, including mandatory overtime situations.Attend required training sessions, including initial and recurrent airfield driver training, and maintain airfield driving privileges.Properly wear and maintain issued uniforms while on duty.Perform other related duties as assigned by the Airport Maintenance Manager.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

SUMMARY
The Airport Operations Coordinator under the direction of the Operations Manager performs operations and security functions at the Albany International Airport. The Airport Operations Coordinator (AOC) performs various duties at the airport as directed by operational requirements. The role performs a wide range of airfield operations, including compliance inspections related to safety, security, and the environment. In addition, Airport Operations Coordinator performs weather reporting, emergency response, snow/ice removal operations, and provides direct support to aircraft operations and airport users. In addition, Customer Service Representative Job duties will be required. Shift work, including weekends, is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Meet & greet terminal patrons and provide directions or other assistance, as requested, while always presenting a friendly, helpful image of the Airport. Participation in customer feedback programs including administering surveys to the traveling public.Monitor the PARCS system in the command centerBe familiar with Bus and Train Schedules and other Transportation Options to and from the airportComplete understanding of the Parking Control System and the ability to troubleshoot and correct problems as they arise.Be able to accurately quote parking fees and schedules as well as current flight destinations and days available.Be able to correctly explain Stewart International Airport parking policies and procedures to customers, as needed.Be able to solve problems as they arise at the “Point of Sale” concerning “Pay on Foot” machines, lost tickets, allowable discounts or validation issues, as well as answer questions concerning charges.
