Position Overview:
The Infectious Disease Physician will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of infectious diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves collaboration with other medical specialties, participation in infection control initiatives, and providing expert consultation to primary care providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive infectious disease consultations and ongoing care for hospitalized patients and outpatientsDiagnose and treat bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infectionsManage complex cases, including HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, sepsis, and healthcare-associated infections.Participate in antimicrobial stewardship programs to optimize antibiotic use and minimize resistance.Collaborate with hospital epidemiology and infection prevention teamsEducate patients, families, and healthcare professionals on infectious diseases and preventive measuresMaintain accurate and timely medical recordsQualifications:
Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Infectious Disease.Completion of an accredited Infectious Disease Fellowship program.Valid Ohio medical license or eligibility for licensure.Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based medicine.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Dedication to continuous learning and professional development.What Avita Health System Offers:

Salary $755K secured base salary for term of the contract/ plus $71.00 WRVU's
Up to $200K signing incentives

Provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative medical services to patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders.Perform various endoscopic procedures including, but not limited to, upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.Manage acute and chronic GI conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.Collaborate effectively with primary care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.Maintain accurate and timely medical records.Commit to continuous professional development and stay abreast of advancements in gastroenterology.Actively participate in departmental and hospital committees as appropriate.Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship program.Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.Current, unrestricted Ohio medical license (or eligible for licensure).DEA registration.Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.Benefits & Compensation:
